The Speakeasy is a basement apartment in our Seattle home. It's accessed by a set of stairs leading to a dedicated entrance. Inside you'll find a comfortable studio apartment: a new queen bed with an upholstered headboard, a small kitchenette with sink, refrigerator, microwave, toaster, and electric tea kettle. The bathroom features a beautifully tiled shower with shower heads and controls on both ends. You'll find a variety of books on the shelves, a smart TV for keeping up with your watchlist, and wireless internet. Your hosts live upstairs, so you'll hear us now and then as we go about our day.

We have a cat, Lucy, that lives upstairs and spends parts of her days outside. She's very friendly and inquisitive, and will probably greet you as you come and go. She's not allowed in the apartment, though she may act like she owns the place.

We live in Seattle, Washington, where we enjoy raising our two kids, working on our house, and living in the beautiful Northwest.

We live upstairs, and can be reached by text or email. You might bump into us around the house or in the neighborhood: Alex plays fiddle at the corner pub once a month, Jenny is often consulting with clients in local coffee shops, our daughter works at a coffee shop down the street, and our son volunteers at the Green Lake community pool.
