We are very disappointed in receiving what can only be described as a vindictive and inaccurate review and comments from a recent stay at our property by Maureen. In re-affirming our position, please refer to other feedback we have had from numerous parties whom have stayed at the property. Whilst we mean Maureen and her family no ill will and are very sorry that their stay in Sydney was obviously disappointing we need to air our position on this matter. We found Maureen a very difficult person to deal with generally having a “glass half empty” attitude from the moment we met with her and her family. At the commencement of her stay, we advised Maureen that there had been a mix up with the bookings through air BNB. This mix up ultimately being brought about my Maureen not confirming a possible extension to her stay through the Air BNB website and as such ultimately leading to another party booking for any planned extended days. Despite this we immediately advised Maureen who indicated she was happy to find alternate accommodation for the last 5 days as was originally planned as we were in no way wanting to inconvenience or disrupt their holidays. The problem was that after Maureen researched alternatives and saw what else was available she did not want to leave as she realised our place is extremely good value and there was nothing else comparable. We believe therefore Maureen was so adamant that she was not leaving, even after explaining we had new paying guests arriving. We believe guests should be left to enjoy our beautiful Northern Beaches and what they have to offer. We do not avoid people. We are very welcoming, in fact we offered Maureen’s party full use of our family pool during their stay. My husband and I travel a lot for work and have very busy lives often leaving early and returning home late. As such we are not always around to personally discuss and organise clients matters, but are very contactable via mobile and email, a matter we made very clear with Maureen from the start and as is outlined on the properties information guide. We love people to share our beautiful home. The granny flat is now just 1 year old as advised on the properties profile along with the fact that there are a number of stairs leading up the property is it is at the rear of the block affording it its quietness and district views. As for the other noted points, we have never had any feedback from any guest nor any of Maureen’s party regarding the bathroom sink and or any other of the noted issues. If we were advised, we would immediately have rectified. If our place was so awful and had its apparent issues and not up to scratch why then did Maureen and her family insist on staying!
