NEWLY REMODELED!! Cool and comfortable Studio apartment in the tree canopy of the peaceful jungle. This studio is attached to the main house Casa Motmot. Close to nearby attractions: Cenotes, Puerto Aventuras Marina, Tulum, Playa Del Carmen. Just a few minutes walk from the Hotel Barceló Riviera Maya. Many guest choose this space over staying at the Hotel Barceló. A rental car is recommended. Restaurants & supermarket are 5 minutes drive from this beautiful apartment tucked away in the jungle.

This Studio has recently been remodeled. New photos coming soon! Peaceful tranquility in the tree canopy of Jungle. Just 5 minutes drive from the beautiful beach of Xpu-Ha, 5 minutes drive to the nearest super market and 20 minutes drive from the town of Playa del Carmen. This room sleeps up to 4 people and has its own private bathroom. It has a fully equipped kitchenette with stovetop, fridge, coffee machine, toaster, microwave and a 1 cup liquidizer for smoothies. There is a peaceful shaded seating area on the balcony overlooking the cenote and surrounding jungle. The room is light and airy with ceiling fan, (No A/C). Mosquito netted windows allow a good breeze to come through the room. There is a Queen size bed and a sofa bed. This is an open plan bedding arrangement. The Queen size bed and sofa bed area are in the same area, they are NOT in separate rooms. If there are children or more than two people this room easily sleeps 4. Can also sleep two people who don't want to share a bed.
GUESS WHAT? IT'S A JUNGLE OUT THERE FOLKS!!
If you don't like bugs best look elsewhere. I built my house in the jungle and have utmost respect for all critters so please try not to harm anything! If you do find something inside that you don't want to share the space with please gently put it outside, or message me and I will be more than happy to help you remove it :) Keeping all the screens closed will help keep them outside. We do have little Geckos that you might see inside and they love to eat little bugs so they are our friends :) Its possible that you will see Blue Morpho butterflies, Motmots, Toucans, humming birds, Chachalacas and many other feathered friends.
Yes I am PET FRIENDLY!! If you plan to come with your dog please let me know. I have 4 dogs. I have made a trail around my property for walks. Some kind of trainer or closed shoe is recommended for this trail walk. If your pet does damage anything please take responsibility and let me know. You will be required to pay for reparations.
I also rent 2 more spaces on the same property. Casa Motmot is our family home and this is where I live. It also has a studio apartment and another bedroom inside the main house that is for rent. These are listed here on Airbnb under the name of "Casa Motmot Bedroom in my house" and "Casa Motmot Apt.". If you are a large group renting all three spaces combined they can sleep up to 12 people, (2 beds in each space). This apartment has it's own private access. There is free parking close to the stairs that take you up to the apartment. You will pick up the key from me at Check-in and can come and go as you please.
There is an automatic gate at the entrance to the property. Guests are given a gate control for the duration of there stay.

I am Vickie! I've been an Airbnb host since (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) , welcoming guests into my home. I am a yoga instructor. I teach regularly. I am also a (SUP) Stand Up Paddle board instructor and a SUP Yoga Instructor. I live here on the property with my boyfriend and our dogs.
