Villa Athena Kallergi in the heart of the Cretan medieval village of Loutra. Built along the lines of a Venetian Mansion it is a villa of many doors. The first of which is the old stone archway leading into the flower festooned courtyard and pool.
the house has a big potential and the location is perfect but and this is the most important thing the owner didn't show up while check in ,he sent some one who doesn't speak English at all 3G and 4 G coverage is very poor, so we were expecting to get a decent wifi which was …
The best and most objective response to the particular review is offered by all past reviews of Villa Athenas's guests. We rank very high in terms of the value for money offered. Will stand at one point only, enough to illustrate who is responsible. The customer upon his arrival realized that he had booked the wrong villa, on his own fault. He booked villa Athena but finally realised he wanted Villa Nefeli, although the two houses are referenced in a clear, separate, page on Airbnb. To our astonishment, upon arrival, the customer expressed the request to use the other Villa as well, which was of course booked by other clients and in any case was not part of his reservation. As hospitality professionals, we passed through this negative surprise and kindly replied that it is not possible. He blamed us for not giving free access to the other villa and implied that the rest of his holiday will be full of criticis To our surprise, the customer adopted a negative attitude and made various requests on a daily basis, even if he had not paid for the presence of staff on-site. The negative review he provided was expected, but we did no less than offer him the same quality service we provide to all our previous guests, the experience of which i invite you to read below. Unfortunately this tenant tried too hard to have a bad time and this has nothing to do with our Villa or the provided services. It is noteworthy that 1/ we offered for free to the tenant food and local products of value 200 euros. Maybe the 3G was too poor to send a thank you note; 2/ the plumber we sent at once upon notification only noticed "few drops" of water and no "leak". Moreover, even if the tenant required the immediate intervention of a plumber, that we sent at once, he later changed his mind in order to block access to the property when the plumber was there, demanding that the plumber comes when they are not there. I guess this is enough to assess the magnitude of the problem and the tenant's attitude. In reference to the wi-fi, it is reminded that the property is set at a village and the same kind of coverage is typical to all villages. The tenant was aware that if he wanted extra connection (3G), he could have bought this service from a local communication shop. In conclusion, we are sorry for this defamatory, because not based on facts, review from a customer that overall caused us loss. We are sorry he spoiled his holiday, but in any case he got more than he paid for and certainly more than a customer in good faith would legitimately expect.
What else can we say but AMAZING! Dimitrios, his father and mother, are all some of the most hospitable people we met. When we arrived at the Villa, they provided us with fresh food, fruits, wine, and even cooked a traditional lunch for our entire family (10 people). From before …
