Travel restrictions
Due to COVID-19 there are lockdowns in place across the UK and travel is not permitted other than in limited circumstances until at least April. Failure to follow the law is a criminal offence.
Swallow Cottage (2) is a comfortable and economical cottage situated within the central, car free, court yard and is ideal for fishermen being only 50 meters from Home lake. The cottage has a front entrance porch opening onto the courtyard and backdoor which opens onto a verandah. This property has a separate fitted kitchen and a good sized dining/living room. The large bedroom has a double bed and adjoins the bathroom. Swallow Cottage has oil fired central heating.

Although the games barn remains open for badminton and table tennis you will need to bring your own equipment the same applies to the tennis court, restricted to one family at a time. Games, toys, books and DVD's cannot be supplied due to the present restrictions.

South Farm holiday cottages are situated in East Devon in the Blackdown Hills which are known locally as the secret hills due to their tranquil setting, we are central to Devon's many tourist attractions, summer and winter, beaches, moors, market towns, Torquay, Dartmouth and the seaside resorts of Lyme Regis, Beer, Sidmouth and Exmouth. Honiton, 7 miles away is a delightful Devon market town. You can shop at a Farmer's market or the High Street shops that offer the best of Devon food, then browse through the antique shops. Also Visit the historical City of Exeter, the regional capital only 30 minutes drive or bustling Taunton just 25 minutes drive.
Apart from fishing in our lakes, strolling our quiet lanes and enjoying the birdsong and peace, we have access to adjoining Woodland Trust woods. Within walking distance there is also the Sheldon Equestrian Centre, Hollies trout fishery. There is also good cycling, along the quiet country lanes.
