We are very proud of our location, in the center of Reykjavik city, in few minutes walking distance to all major tourist attractions, museums and most popular restaurants – but still in a quiet residential area.
We did not actually meet Gunnar but he did connect with us via email and message. Upon arrival at the listing, our room was ready. It was in a great location for walking around Reykjavik. The accommodations were comfortable but dated. The bathroom was very small and the shower cu…
The reason for that I did not meet Suchitra was simple: She did not arrive at the time she announced. I don't understand what Suchitra means with saying that the studio is "dated". It is newly renovated. The bathroom is indeed small, as we clearly announce at all our information pages. (The shower curtains are washed after every guest.) People that need bigger bathroom or more luxury should search for more luxury guesthouses or hotels - and pay the price for it. We welcome with pleasure all guests that appreciate our location, our circumstances that are well described before guests book at our place - and our reasonable price. Hot water in south of Iceland is geothermal. It smells sulphur in every house in Reykjavik and close areas. The cold water is fresh and clean and can be drunk right from the faucet. I am sorry to know that Suchitra did not use anything in the kitchenette. But she was so welcome to use everything there, not only the coffee and tea - but also milk, yogurt, muesli, butter and jam, oil, sugar and spices. People are different - but I refer to other guests that have given reviews of this apartment. Wish you all my best, Suchitra.
