I grew up in Gilbert. I've traveled the world and it's still one of my favorite places on Earth. I have 9 siblings and 4 children of my own, ages 22 down to 8, so, essentially, I’m a mother. But also, a musician. I like to sing and play the piano and sometimes arrange music. Professionally, (historically), I teach and freelance as a violinist. Finally, I’m a homebody and a homemaker. I love all things home and friends and family. That might also explain my love for books and movies and stories of all sorts as they tend to include people. With homes. And families. Now blessed to add hostess to my résumé (I was really always unofficially that girl), it’s turnovers and hosting by day; mothering and teaching and gigging "after checkin". Whatever brings you to Gilbert, Arizona, just know this: every "season" has something special to offer. Some say we don't have seasons, but they are wrong! October thru March is hands down, absolutely unbeatable in Arizona. Even into the summer months, evening time can be downright magical. And don't even get me started on the sunsets. You'll see in my listings what a fan I am of those Arizona Skies (thank you Lady Gaga.) End of July through September brings Arizona monsoons with their incomparable lighting and thunderstorms; God's gracious gift for those of us who tolerated the summer. (“If you cant handle me at 115, you don’t deserve me at 69.”) But jumping into a pool is best done hot, after all. So there's that. Then you're back to Fall Magic and The Most Wonderful Time--and Weather--of the Year. We even have skiing 3 hours away in three different directions. And did you know, the closest beach is not even California (6 hours away)? It's Rocky Point (Puerto Peñasco), Mexico, at only 3. Anyway, the summer is pretty short for those with little tykes still in school. The modified year-round schedule puts us back in the air conditioning just when we’ve had enough swimming and summer fun at the end of July, with two-week breaks when it’s the most gorgeous out of doors in October, March, and over Christmas. Then we’re off before Memorial Day and the fun starts all over again. I said I've traveled the world. It was living in Singapore in (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) , where I first experienced the concept of a vacation rental, before (Hidden by Airbnb) or Airbnb were big. We booked an entire luxury villa in Bali including housecleaner, chef and driver for cheaper than two so-so hotel rooms and I've been hooked on the idea of replicating that kind of experience back here in the States ever since (thank you (Hidden by Airbnb) /Airbnb.) It's still in its evolutionary stages of course, but I hope to bring you not only clean, comfortable, chic, cost-effective, concierge-level accommodations BUT ALSO! meaningful & memorable moments, all the way from event-planning advice to Arizona adventure. I cook. I clean. I'm a lean (well—you know what I mean), hosting machine. Any questions or requests at any point, I’m here to help. Dew Drop Inn. Don't miss out. See you at 3pm.
