Charming little house in a hamlet located near the Bastide town of Villefranche du Périgord in Southwest France.

La Petite bergerie is situated at 4.5 kms from the Bastide town of Villefranche du Périgord,in the heart of the beautiful countryside.
In Villefranche du Périgord,you can find all kinds of shops,restaurants,a bank,a post-office...There is a pool open throughout July and August,a tennis court,fishing lake...
The area around the house has large pine,oak and chestnut forrests with marked walks for that quiet stroll.
La Petite bergerie is ideally located for exploring the many delights of the Périgord and the Quercy:
-The medieval cities of Sarlat and Cahors.
-The bastide towns of Domme,Monpazier,Belves...
-The spectacular Rocamadour,Saint Cirq Lapopie or Laroque Gageac....
-The Chateaux de la Dordogne: Beynac,Bonaguil...
-The subterranean caves of Gouffre de Padirac,the cave of Lascaux or Pech-Merle.
The area is extremely popular and renowed for its gastronomic delights. There are fresh-produce markets for every day of the week ( Prayssac on Friday - Villefranche on Saturday - Cazals on Sunday - Puy l'évêque on Tuesday etc...)
Cosy restaurants serve Perigordian specialities:Foie gras,magret de canard,confit at kind prices. There is a Ferme Auberge at 500m from the gite. You can go there by foot!
The acclaimed Bordeaux,Bergerac and Cahors vineyards are a short drive away.
There are many activities to be found: canoeing,rambling,fishing,mountain-biking,horse riding,golf...
In any case,you will have an enjoyable holiday here in the south of France where you are assured of a warm French welcome by the owners (English speaking).

Après avoir beaucoup voyagé, Cindy et moi même nous sommes installés dans ce coin de campagne il y a une vingtaine d'années et c'est là que grandissent nos trois filles. Nous habitons une autre maison du hameau. Nous profitons pleinement de tout ce que ce bel environnement peut nous offrir. Le gîte que nous vous proposons ravira les amateurs de promenades, de vieilles pierres, de marchés et de gastronomie et permettra à ceux qui le souhaitent de découvrir les sites phares du Périgord et du Quercy!
