Wszystko było dobrze tylko godpodarze są w podeszłym wieku i trudno było sie z nimi dogadać odnośnie wracania o późnych porach nocnych

Our stay at Teresa's house was very pleasent. She and her husband were nice and helpful. They have gave us detailed instructions explaining how to get to their place and what to visit in Dublin. The place was clean and well equipped, with a lovely backyard. The apartment is located in a quiet neighborhood, there's a bus stop near by, luas tram about 10 minutes away (15 min to get to city center). I highly recommend this place.

Teresa is lovely and helpful. Her beautiful home is a little way out of the city but she has much advice about travelling around and places to see. As the place was full we did not have the best beds in the house.

My friend and I had a wonderful stay at Teresa's home. She and her husband are thoughtful and kind hosts. They thought of all the details right down to the electric blanket on cold nights. The tram is only a 10 min walk away in a scenic suburban neighborhood. Extremely quiet for sleep. The shower is nice and hot. The breakfast area in the kitchen is light and airy. Stunning backyard. Well appointed rooms. The attention to detail is evident everywhere you look. I felt like I was in my own home. If you spend a night downtown the cab fair is no more than 15 Euro back home. I had a fab weekend in Dublin and much of that is thanks to having such an awesome home base. Look no further when in Dublin. This will be my place to stay anytime I am in town.
Hi Sagalina ,What a lovely review we are so thrilled that you enjoyed your stay with us ,& delighted that you felt really at home ,it is always a pleasure to host guests who are appreciative of the little things , Don't forget to call in again if you're ever around this way we'd love to see you , Teresa & Hughie

Before we arrived Teresa sent us very detailed instructions on how to get to her home which was very helpful. Once we arrived her husband showed us to our room which was very clean and had everything we needed. He gave us suggestions and maps of the area which was very helpful given that we weren't in the city centre. Overall, we had a great stay and would definitely stay with Teresa again.

We had a very nice stay there in Dundrum, Teresa and her husband are very nice and welcoming hosts. Our room as the rest of the house are very clean and like the garden lovely furnished. Their house is in Dundrum, in the south of the centre of Dublin, which is easily reachable by the LUAS train (walk to Dundrum station is appr. 8-10 min) or by bus, which leavs 50m away from their home. We had a very pleasant stay there and surely would come back one day.

After our first bnb which was lovely this was a disappointment for us. Maybe we had been spoilt by the first experience we aren't sure as we only had one place to compare by but we didn't find this to our taste-we found the room a bit drab and not especially welcoming and the twin beds, and bedding were not the most comfortable. We had 2 bath towels supplied and a bath mat both which looked well used . Breakfast was a very basic help yourself to cereal and toast. The bathroom was shared albeit we never saw the other couple who were there at the same time apart from the occasional wait for the bathroom to be free. Holly Cottage simply wasn't to our taste and we spent most of our time out ( which by the way we were intending to- but for us it was very much a place to go to bed and have a wash.) The owner and her husband were pleasant enough when we saw them. The price did seem quite reasonable especially for Dublin but unlike the previous airbnb there was a £9 charge for cleaning on top plus the airbnb fee of £22 was added on whereas the price we saw previously was the price we paid-so we paid nearly £55 a night compared to £40 a night and yet this was much more basic-the welcome, breakfast and comfort in the first airbnb was so much more for less -I guess the difference was Dublin prices whereas the other airbnb had been in the country. We have seen most of the other reviews of Holly Cottage are very positive so we do seem to be a bit out of line which is a puzzle to us as we are a fairly easy going couple and not especially fussy- but we can only say that's how we felt. We will airbnb again but will be more careful to find somewhere we will enjoy more in future and focus less on the price!!
While we appreciate the time you took to give feedback, I must say, both my husband and I are very upset to read your review. We pour our heart into making our family home a welcoming and warm place for guests, so to read your surprising and inaccurate comments is very disappointing for us. As you point our yourself, your feedback is out completely out of line with the rest of our very positive reviews (including our most recent review). I think the key here, which you have also mentioned is that your stay was not to your personal taste. However, fortunately our house and us as hosts are to the taste of the majority of our other guests. We are noted in other reviews for being "friendly and very helpful" but yet “respectful of privacy”. In contrast to your ‘drab’ comments, our cottage has also been described by other guests as “beautifully decorated”, “super-cute” and “lovely”-comments which we are always so proud to hear. Perhaps the cottage was not decorated to match your taste, we just try our best to decorate our house in the style we love. In fact, our house had been painted and re-decorated a month before you arrived. Again, as you point out in your review, Dublin prices are very different to prices in the country. However, we must state that we offer excellent value for money at €50 a night. On this point, we must address your incorrect point about us charging more than stated. Any amount on top of this was a charge from Airbnb, which you would have been charged for any other Airbnb stay, too. It is unfortunate if you were not aware of this before deciding to use Airbnb. Another inaccuracy which we must address is your description of our breakfast as ‘very basic’. Yes, the breakfast is self-service but this is something that was stated in our description, so we are a bit confused that you seem surprised by this? We also do try our best to stock artisan breads, preserves, nuts, cereals, fruits and yogurts and most of our guests appear to be very happy with the selection on offer. Also, you knew that the guest bathroom was shared as this too is stated in our property description. We love hosting and of course are disappointed if you did not enjoy our stay with us – what drives us is pleasing our guests after all. We will continue to try our best to keep achieving this in the future. All the best,
