I am a cellist, poet, composer and creator of events and operas. I am also a retired part-time music teacher who still teaches privately, conducts a youth orchestra, and loves teens.

I have always dreamed of an affordable place in this beautiful area where other artists could come to work and drink in the creativity of the space, and through their work energy be part of the inspiration that surrounds me here.

It is my hope that people will find musical/creative rejuvenation during their stay, whether they are artists or not. I hope they will find the time useful to themselves, and that they will leave full of inspiration.

I listen to all kinds of music (well, most kinds) and enjoy improvising and jamming. I am happy to stay out of the way and feed you so you can concentrate if you need to practice or work, or else act as a friend or even guide if you are here to sight-see, enjoy the Festival of the Sound or explore the area.

I am known for improvising while people are painting, or playing along with other poets and/or story tellers. Gardening is high on the list ( I have to come up with 5 things I can't live without it says here!) as is eating homemade lemon pie or corn bread and of course, solo canoe tripping. I like to sing, but people wish I wouldn't. I love dogs and training them to do all kinds of things, and own a rescued Border Collie who spends his days herding brooms. Seriously.

My main style of travelling is by canoe - in fact, if you arrive here by canoe you can stay for half price. I really enjoy philosophising if you like to, and if you don't, I am happy to laugh and just be a friend.

Life motto? Hmm...well, it's probably along the lines of "I will go where the music takes me."
