A very rustic pet friendly Cabin with wood burning stove
Though very small, this cabin is clean and functional, except that the heat is inadequate. The woodburning stove in the photo was replaced by an electric heater that does not heat the living room. There is a separate shower stall that opens to a hallway. Unfortunately we did not …
Hi Danny: Thank you for your review for family Cabin #86! We do apologize for the image of the wood burning stove in the living room (that has since been replaced with an electric fireplace). This just occurred, and a new replacement image hasn't yet been taken. With the busy holidays now past, we will remove that image and replace it with one that we will take ourselves. It generally doesn't get as cold as it was during your stay, and I would have to agree that the living room wasn't heating very well, so we will take this up with the property owners. Many thanks for the respectful way in which you left the cabin upon departure. It was a pleasure hosting you! Thank you for your understanding, and we look forward to hosting you again in the future. Happy trails, Dan
This is definitely a rustic cabin but a great location. Easy communication beforehand. Lots of space heaters are provided. The third bed is in the laundry area and next to the shower so is not private. It is also an extremely small bed, so this place really isn't comfortable for …
Hi Rachel: Thank you for your review for rustic family Cabin #86! We are very pleased to hear that you had an enjoyable stay at the cabin, and would like to thank you for the neat and tidy way in which you left the cabin upon departure. Yes, although there is a draw curtain, the 1st floor bedroom isn't quite as private as the top two bedrooms. We will mention the bed size to the property owners. There are always interested in receiving feedback. It was a pleasure hosting you, and we look forward to seeing you again the next time that your travel plans bring you back to Mt. Baker :) Happy trails, Dan
Cool little cabin in a quiet community about 20 minutes drive from the resort. The way the rules are presented is intense for a vacation rental. But I don't know maybe people have given them problems in the past. I had a great weekend.
Hi James: Thank you for the great review of rustic Cabin #86! Yes, unfortunately, not all folks have been as respectful as you were...thus the rules. While we would highly recommend you to other hosts, and look forward to hosting you again in the future. some folks have made it onto the "Do Not Rent" list, which is also shared with other local accommodators. Thanks again James, and Happy Trails, Dan
Really REALLY loved the space. It's proximity to Baker's Ski area is about as good as it gets and to me that provides a great amount of value. The only issue we ran into was a rusted propane regulator which we informed the hosts of and will likely be fixed by the time you stay…
Hi Braden: Thank you for the great review for Cabin #86! We are very pleased to hear that you enjoyed your stay in this rustic little cabin-in-the-woods! Many thanks for the respectful way in which you left the cabin upon departure. We would definitely recommend you to other hosts, and look forward to hosting you again in the future. Happy trails, Dan
rustic old cabin. cute and adequate. great location in proximity to mt. baker.
Hi Peter: Thank you for your review of Cabin #86! She's definitely a rustic old gal, but folks really seem to enjoy her. You may wish to consider coming up during the summer when the community outdoor recreational facilities are open. Lots of fun to be had! Thanks for the respectful way in which you left the cabin upon departure. Happy trails, Dan
This cabin is WONDERFUL! the photos on Air BnB don't do it justice. It's super cozy, but spacious enough to not feel crowded, even with 6 adults. We arrived to check in earlier than we were supposed to, and even though we couldn't actually get into the cabin at that time, the…
Hi Dana: Thank you for the excellent review of Cabin #86! This little cabin may not be everyone's cup to tea, but for those seeking a more rustic experience, it's absolutely perfect. Thank you for the orderly way in which you left the cabin upon departure. We very much enjoyed hosting you, and hope to see you again in the not-too-distant future. Happy trails, Dan
