The people in the Faroe Islands do live in a sometime harsh, but beautiful nature and with a unique culture. During the summer we have nice weather, during the winter period, we have the most stunning and dramatic weather worth to experience, especially if you want to experience how the nature can present it self from the most powerful to the most calm. A great place for photographers.
A little bit about the house, as informed, this is a typical Faroese fisherman's house from the last century, build in 1914.
The staircase up to the first floor, where the two bedrooms are, can feel somewhat steep for elderly or people who have difficulties' walking stairs in general. View the photos.
The kitchen is a retro from the 60/70 and some of the cupboard doors need an extra push to close :) but otherwise the house is cosy with an at home feeling atmosphere.
Two rooms with duble beds upstairs.
A very quiet area in the country side, close to the sea shore.
