Zoe, thank you for providing feedback, and I am sorry that your very first Airbnb experience was not quite your ideal one. Let me clarify a few points and help you have a better experience in your future stays. The room was professionally deep-cleaned prior to your arrival, and you had commented in your first few days of stay that you were loving it. Why did your experience change after a 30-day stay? Keeping lots of left-over food waste for days in your room and throwing all sorts of garbage on the floor instead of trash cans does not help, especially in a house surrounded by windows and beautiful trees. It attracts ants, and if one lives like that for long, other unpleasant creatures will join the party as well. There is a Roomba (robot vacuum cleaner) in your room which previous guests have loved since it can automatically clean the room daily. Despite lots of closet/drawer space in your room and a large laundry basket, the floor was filled with garbage, dirty clothes, open makeup items... The poor vacuum cleaner could not move or do any cleaning. In fact, it was buried under dirty clothes along with an expensive fan, which is supposed to cool down the room. I was horrified to see my home in that condition when I came to show you where the fan was. To make the best experience for everyone in our home, we ask our guests to take their shoes off inside the home, to keep their room and common areas clean, to lock the door behind themselves, to let us know when they are bringing guests over… Unfortunately, you did not follow these rules. Ambrish carried 4-5 heavy suitcases for you on your first day and offered you water/tea even though you had arrived pretty late at night with little communication and even though he was exhausted after a long day at work. We were both looking forward to sharing our home with you because we love hosting, and we love meeting new people. Despite the poor experience during your stay, Ambrish was gracious to offer help carry down your suitcases at the end of your stay and write a private feedback regarding some of these issues for your review.
