Thanks for taking the time to write a review and describe your experience Lori. I wanted to respond to a few things in it that I take issue with. The first two are minor, about cleaning and parking. I am sorry if my cleaner missed a couple of spots and you saw some dust. However my cleaner is a true professional who has been with me for years and she does an incredible job cleaning to hotel standards. When you say "well lived in environment" about my place, well that's because it it is a "well lived in environment." I live there, and have for years. This is the whole point of Airbnb, to share your home with others. If you want a non-lived in environment, its probably best to go to a hotel. For parking, this is New York City so of course you may have to look for a parking spot at times, but for the city my area is one of the easiest places to find parking in that there is.
The thing that I take the largest issue with is your description of my neighborhood, Bushwick. I expect that my guests will have done some research about the area that they are staying in and know what to anticipate. I also describe the neighborhood on my listing and provide a link to Airbnb's own description of the area, Unwashed and Unfiltered: A Truly Brooklyn Neighborhood. The title kind of says it all. In terms of street art, its terribly offensive that you call it "gang related graffiti" - how could you possibly have made an accurate assessment that it is gang related? The reality is that the most famous and talented street muralists from all over the world travel to Bushwick for a chance to decorate our streets with brilliant art work, and the results are beautiful and everywhere. People come from all over the world to see it, and we have large groups of art seeker tours roaming around the neighborhood daily to prove it. Please do a search for the Bushwick Collective, the group that curates our walls with the murals, and you will see what I mean. I'm truly sorry that you missed all this Lori, it's really too bad.
