This review comes as a complete and rather strange surprise. Pooja never attempted to contact us to raise any of these issues, despite knowing I’d been immediately responsive when her colleague couldn’t get in. And in fact, my husband met two of the guests outside the garage after they'd stayed there for two days, and they said everything was fine.
We’ve had the same person cleaning our house in the 7 years we’ve been receiving 4.5-5 star AirBNB reviews, and never any complaints about cleanliness. If there was a problem, we would have been happy to immediately arrange for more cleaning.
As for the lockbox, there was an issue - the guest couldn't open it. We contacted our neighbor since we were out of town and she opened it immediately. We're really sorry he had to wait for her to come by, but he was gracious about it. We have replaced the lockbox with a new one.
Apparently Pooja didn’t read our listing before booking. It clearly states two bedrooms for sleeping in, and one full bath upstairs, and a half bath downstairs. Each of the two bedrooms has closets in it. As for the cabana, it has a desk, and it is not intended as a place to sleep in. Yes, the wood stain on our redwood porch and cabana has darkened, as it naturally does. Flowers change. We will update those photos. The lock to the back door is the same one guests used in August, with no problem, and no complaints.
Pooja would be better suited staying in a hotel, not an Airbnb that is someone’s home.
