空間
COVID-19: Our health order requires that the members of your group (no more than four) be your family or social bubble. You will also be asked to sign documentation agreeing to the conditions of our health order, which I will send you in advance. Thank you for understanding and please stay well.
The space:
Sweet, sunny 1 bedroom with kitchen plus deck overlooking wooded forest. Easily sleeps 4 people; there is one queen memory foam bed in a private room and two twin Murphy beds in the living room. It is very private, with plenty of parking. The apartment is spacious (800 sq ft), and detached, so very quiet. There is a full kitchen--great for cooking (you bring food, we supply the coffee!). There is also a BBQ on the deck. We provide bedding, towels, shampoo and soap. The apartment is on the second floor (but no one resides below, there is a garage used for storage), so you need to go up a flight of stairs.
We are gay-friendly, tourist-friendly, pet-friendly, and family-friendly! Please let me know in advance if you have any special needs or requests to make your stay enjoyable.
PET POLICY: As a dog owner myself, I welcome canine guests with responsible owners to the Tree House. However due to the additional cleaning time required, I now charge a fee of $20 per dog, which you can pay in cash upon arrival.
Dog owners are respectfully requested to agree to a few simple rules: no pets allowed on furniture, dogs must either accompany you on outings or be crated, clean up dog droppings, and be prepared to pay for any damage done by your dog. Dogs can be off leash inside and on the deck but need to be leashed when walking in the neighborhood.
Please note that we are not technically a tree house, but the deck and windows overlook our beautiful forest, hence the name. Plus, you are a two minute walk from the redwoods of Jackson State Forest, great for a morning run or evening stroll. We are a 5 minute drive from the Mendocino Coast beaches and the gorgeous botanical gardens. Enjoy wine-tasting, surfing, kayaking, or hiking at any time of year, or check in advance to find out which of the many festivals are happening before you visit (crab, mushroom, whale, film and music festivals, local history days, paul bunyan days, etc). We are about 8 minutes away from Fort Bragg, and are about 15 minutes from the village of Mendocino.
We're about a 3.5 hour drive from San Francisco or Oakland airports. Santa Rosa also has a small airport (Alaska/Horizon main carrier). We are 2.5 hours from Santa Rosa.
Check in is 3pm, checkout is 11 am, but let me know if you need a later departure or earlier arrival, and if I can accommodate you I will.
We have reliable wi-fi.

I love to travel and love to meet travelers! I moved to this beautiful area from San Francisco about 12 years ago and really enjoy sharing it with guests at the Tree House. I live vicariously through the stories of the travelers passing through, and get inspiration from their adventures. Mendocino is a beautiful, wild place and I look forward to sharing the best parts with my guests. I hope to meet you soon (or again!).
