Our cozy (totally private) basement apartment is in Hixson, TN. It's located between downtown Chattanooga and Lake Chickamauga. The apartment is on a spacious lot, has a private entrance & plenty of modern amenities to include full sized washer & dryer and full kitchen. This apartment is great for professionals or vacationers! The apartment has it's own driveway and private entrance from our main home. Though we live on the same property we will really only see each other if it is intentional.

Though this is a basement apartment it has windows! Also has a private driveway, entrance, washer & dryer and full kitchen. There are not any windows in the bedroom so be prepared to sleep well! We have a TV that has a Roku (so access to all streaming channels with your subscription/access) though we also provide antenna while gives access to several local channels. We live on Big Ridge (approximately 7 mins from Big Ridge Elementary) where it is peaceful and private yet with convenient access within a 15 minute drive to anything you may want (food, shopping, hiking, etc.). The kitchen is stocked with cookware, dishes, etc. and we will have toilet paper, paper towels, soap, stocked etc. upon your arrival. We have 2 golden retrievers, Mabel (lighter, girl) and Chester (darker, boy) they might bark at you but all they want you to do is love on them, haha.

We have a big fenced in backyard (with a gate on the apartment side), which you are welcome to share! We have put 2 chairs and a side table outside of the apartment for your privacy, but we love company! We have a fabulous backyard where we love to spend fall evenings with our dogs, a good fire, friends, football, music and drinks - we love for guests to join us! Or help yourself to enjoying a good book or afternoon nap in our swing or hammock.

If you are staying in the winter you might want to bring a pair of slippers the apartment floors can be cold.
We have local TV stations as well as a Roku, which provides access to Netflix, Amazon Prime, Pandora, etc. Just be sure to have your log in information and remember to log out upon your departure.
Note: If you use Verizon as your cell phone carrier, you will not have great service at our house. Upon request, we can provide a pay as you go cell phone. We will provide the phone, you provide the minutes.
The door has a keyless entry. The code will be given to you prior to your arrival as it will change after each guest for maximum security.
We ask that you please let us know your estimated time of arrival on the day of your check in and please let us know when you depart for your check out. Those are the only 2 aspects of communication that we request in order to give 5 stars regarding guests communication on the post-stay review.

Hixson is a great part of Chattanooga as you are close to the lake & close to downtown. Plenty of restaurants and shopping within a 10 minute drive and we will give you plenty of recommendations regarding anything you're interested in!
