Want to stay in the coolest part of Austin? Check out our apartment -- a lovely, private space at treetop level, filled with light. Private entrance, no internal connection to main house. Large space, high ceilings, oceans of light, covered outdoor porch up in the trees. Conveniently located in Zilker, one of the best areas of central Austin. Walking distance from great restaurants, bars, excellent coffee, Zilker Park (ACL Fest), Barton Springs.

We're located in Zilker/SoLa, within walking distance to many of Austin's most popular restaurants, bars, music venues. If you like the outdoors, we're steps away from Zilker Park, Barton Spring's spring-fed pool, ACL Fest, and beautiful Lady Bird Lake's hike/bike trails. A 20-minute walk or a 5-minute drive to Zilker Park (Barton Springs pool and ACL).
We're not a "commercial" AirBnB space. The owner lives on the property and the co-host is a friend who lives a couple of blocks away. You won't be dealing with a faceless, hard-to-reach intermediary; you'll have easy access to us at all times.
Please note that our space has only ONE queen bed and that we can accommodate no more than two people.
No cable TV, but we have Gigibit wifi and a Chromecast device plugged in to the TV, so you can access your Netflix, Hulu, etc accounts. (You'll need the G00gle Home app on your phone or tablet, or other Chromecast compatible apps.) Content can also be mirrored from the G00gle Chrome browser from a laptop. We also have an HD antenna that provides over 40 local channels and an HDMI cable that you can plug into a laptop.
If you want to book further in advance than we normally open up dates (typically 3-4 months ahead), please contact us. We can check our schedule and open dates early if we don't already have friends or family staying. Special events such as SXSW, ACL Fest, Formula-1, Moto-GP, X-Games, and so on, open up further in advance, and have higher rates and longer minimum stays than usual.
If interested in booking for 2-4 months, first check our calendar (we're usually heavily booked-up 3 months in advance) and then contact us. Rates will vary from $2700 to $4200/month depending on special events (SXSW, ACL, F1, etc). AirBnB will add their usual service charges on top of those rates.

- Because we have keyless entry, you can arrive at any time, day or night.
- Private, external entrance. No internal connection to the main house.
- The apartment is located on the 2nd floor of a tower attached to the house.

Please note that we pay the annual City of Austin license fee and that our rates already include Austin's 10% hotel tax. The fact that we are properly licensed and pay the required taxes, which not all AirBnB hosts do, means that you don't risk being evicted mid-visit by the city or state serving a citation.
While we don't add any extra charges, AirBnB will add their service fee (usually around 12%) and the State of Texas' 6% hotel tax.

South Lamar's low-key lifestyle is exemplified by its mix of both pricey and inexpensive eateries, cool thrift stores, and dive-bar/wine-bar drink specials. An ever-growing number of high-end and award-winning restaurants provide other options.
For those on a shoestring budget, abundant green space and refreshing blue water provide plenty of active alternatives—assuring a great way to spend your time without having to spend all of your money.
If you play tennis, there are 2 free public courts just across the street, with night illumination.
