Suite of private self catering rooms accessed through main house which is a Grade 2 listed farmhouse forming part of the historic site of an ancient Priory. There are 4 rooms including a separate kitchen, wetroom, single and/or double downstairs bedrooms. Breakfast food provided. Plenty of off street parking, secure accommodation for bikes. Beautiful rural location by River Sow and Two Saints way, just 2 miles from town centre and train station and minutes from the Staffordshire showground.
The four light and airy rooms consist of a double bedroom with king size bed overlooking the front garden, a fully equipped kitchen, a wet room and a bed sitting room with a single bed, TV and small table and chairs for eating or working at. The rooms are downstairs and connected via a small hallway which is also private. The suite of rooms is accessed through the main house. They were beautifully converted in 2007 from the old dairy rooms. They have a filtered air feed which ensures that the air is always fresh. All rooms are for sole use of one set of guests, and may not be booked separately. They are accessed from a small internal hallway that runs between the rooms. Breakfast items are provided at the start of your stay for you to make your own breakfast. These include bread, butter, milk, cereal as well as basics such as tea and coffee. The kitchen has a 2 ring ceramic hob, full size fan oven, microwave, fridge freezer and dishwasher. The accommodation is within the walls of what was originally a 13th Century barn which forms part of the Mill farmhouse which was extended in the 18th Century. The main house is characterful with exposed beams and a log burner in the entrance room. It is situated in the scheduled grounds of an ancient Priory.
Parking is in the large private yard off the road, bikes may be stored in a locked barn. The house is accessed via a footpath to the left of the yard. Guests access their suite via the main living areas of the house. The washer and dryer in the main house may be used with agreement, guests are welcome to sit in the ornamental gardens to the front of the house or walk round the field. Note: children MUST be accompanied by an adult when in the field as it is adjacent to the River Sow.
Either my husband Tony or myself will be available at some time during the day to assist or answer questions if required.
There is no charge for infants under 4. A travel cot is available if required, please bring your own bedding for it.
On rare occasions the field is flooded, should this occur, access to the field will be restricted.
Care must be taken when walking out of the site as this is a rural area and there are few pavements and no street lights.
We would like you to relax and enjoy your stay whilst respecting the tranquillity of the site. We'd appreciate you removing your shoes in carpeted areas of the house.
