Resting on the shore of Lake Windermere, in the Lake District National Park, it’s brilliantly located to explore all the area has to offer. Guests love the large balcony, with tables and chairs for dinner & drinks overlooking the beautiful surroundings.
The lake house is a converted boat house, family run and renovated for the enjoyment of the local area.

As a converted boathouse, the Lake House is all on one level with stunning views out over Lake Windermere.
The large open plan kitchen, living and dining room opens through double doors out onto a balcony with plenty of tables and chairs for dining with drinks.
The TV is a smart wifi TV with Netflix access. There is also a coffee maker with complimentary coffee capsules, fully equipped kitchen and all the modern appliances you would expect.
Bedrooms:
Two King bed rooms one of which is ensuite, one family bathroom and a twin bed room.
There is private parking space for 2 large cars directly outside.
You have complete and private use of all rooms in property.
SMOKING is not ALLOWED.

The entire property is for your use, we provide access to a key upon arrival so you can arrive at a time that suits you.
We do not live at the property and so you will be able to enjoy your privacy. That said, I am always available if you need anything or want some local insight.

Lake Windermere is the jewel in the crown of the Lake District National park, attracting visitors from all over the world.
The Lake House is just a flat, easy 10 minute walk along the edge of the lake to Bowness where you will find cute cafes, a small supermarket and lots of small boutique shops. You can also take a steamer boat from here to Ambleside, which is worth doing when the weather is warm.
Windermere is a larger town with a large supermarket and the local train station. This is only a short drive or a 30 minute walk away.
If you wish to explore further afield there are frequent and reliable bus services and rail connections.
The Lake District is regarded as a walking paradise, with fantastic trails and mountain paths, all accessible from the bus stop in Bowness or the car ferry 600 meters from the lake house.
There are a number of places to visit which are known better to locals, I would be very happy to guide you in the right direction.

I manage our two family built and run lake house rentals on the shore of Lake Windermere. As a host, I'm always available on my phone for any local insight or questions. The local area is gorgeous and well worth exploring, with hundreds of walks scattered throughout the Lake District National Park. Living in Windermere, I'm lucky to live surrounded by such natural beauty. I spend as much time outside as I can, recently completing my second marathon! I'm now looking for my third.
