Renovated Grey Lynn studio with private deck and garden situated five minutes' walk from Ponsonby Road. Breakfast is provided for the first day or two of your stay, although if you prefer to eat out, Ponsonby has wonderful cafes and restaurants as well as bars and shopping. The studio is close to good transport links to the city (less than 3kms away) and beyond but is an easy walk into the CBD. Less than one block from the fabulous Grey Lynn Park.

The self-contained studio is in the garden of the main house. It has its own garden and is very private. There is one main room containing a Queen sized bed with good quality mattress and Egyptian cotton bedding. A small drop down table on the wall can be used for meals or a work surface. There's a sofa for lounging and watching TV, Netflix or Lightbox.
A separate kitchen has a benchtop oven, microwave and a double hob, Royal Doulton 'Pacific' crockery, cutlery and all the necessary pots, pans and utensils should you decide to cook.
The bathroom is off the main room and is stocked with luxurious towels. There is an outside deck with table and chairs which is on the far side of the studio from the house and is totally your own space. Grapefruit for breakfast from outside your door when in season! Ample breakfast for two or more mornings is provided along with tea, coffee and other supplies.

We will try to meet our guests on arrival but will make arrangements for key handover if this is not possible.

This area of Grey Lynn is very special as it's close to the best of everything - cafes, bars, shopping, parks, transport links, supermarkets, the city and beaches. Locals (and others!) favour Ponsonby Road, Karangahape Road, West Lynn village and the Richmond Road shops - all within easy walking distance. It's a 25 minute walk to the centre of the city where you'll find much to see and do in the Wynyard Quarter, the Viaduct and Britomart. The Auckland Art Gallery is also well worth visiting and there are plenty of cinemas. I'm happy to make recommendations.

New Zealander who loves Grey Lynn and all that it has to offer. Never going to leave! I look forward to meeting my guests and hope that my studio provides a welcoming place to stay during your visit to my little spot of paradise.

I try to be as flexible as possible with check in and will quite often be there to welcome guests. If not, I use a coded key safe. It's always good to have an idea when guests are arriving, for example, if at night, I'll ensure there's a light on in the studio for you.
I'll generally be around but won't intrude on your space. Feel free to knock on the kitchen door and introduce yourselves if I miss you at check in; I'd love to say hello and I'm always very happy to talk about the area or New Zealand and to provide recommendations if needed.
