The main reason why I chose this listing on Airbnb was because the listing indicated “free parking on premises.” Unfortunately, this is not the case. I spent, on average, 30-45 minutes upon arriving and each subsequent day looking for street parking because there was no parking at the vicinity. I knew that Brooklyn parking would be an issue, and therefore made a continuous effort to avoid that problem. She gave a personal excuse as to why the parking was unavailable but I think there were better options to accommodate a guest that was under the impression of receiving on-site parking. The room was okay; definitely “no frills.” Which is fine, but the sheets did not fit the mattress and made sleeping at night quite annoying, as I had to keep waking up and fixing the sheets to stay on. While I don’t think there is any bed bugs, I definitely got bit by a fly or a mosquito a few times while sleeping. The toilet & sink are very clean but the shower had mold & flies. Fay does not provide a key or a code for entry and claims that the door remains unlocked at all times but I was locked out one night & had to call her to open the door. Fay is a nice person but should consider revising her listing, as it is inaccurate. I was stuck between choosing her listing and another listing with a private bathroom & hind site, I wish I chose the private bathroom because at least I knew going in that parking was not guaranteed.
