We moved to NYC over nine years ago and absolutely loved it there. Our move was one of drastic proportions; we had lived in Oklahoma all our lives in a quiet, rural area of scenic southeast Oklahoma. Suzy (wife) and I have been married for almost 30 years and simply felt we should, well, get out of the box, so to speak. And did we ever! We turned our river front home into a vacation rental, got rid of most of our stuff, and moved there with nothing but our clothes, personal effects, and a few boxes of books. From the first mention of moving our two daughters (11 and 13 then) were excited and ready to go. It was a wonderful, fulfilling, and yet challenging adventure, to say the least. When our daughter, Lindsey, decided to attend Belmont University in Nashville, we found during our frequent trips we absolutely love Nashville--especially the 12 South area. And so, here we are! We now have a few fabulous places there to share with you, our very own 12 South Escape, 12 South Bungalow, and 12 South Cottage! Since we still own our vacation resort and home/property in Oklahoma we travel there often. Renting to others in search of a pleasant vacation getaway has been our business and passion for the past 18 years. We love being able to share our space--hosting others is absolutely what we love to do! Being a couple who love to travel and are always looking for special places to go, we have sought to offer getaways that are a cut above--places people truly enjoy and want to come back to. Feel free to have a look at our resort online, in order to get an idea of who we are and what we do. I designed the 12 cottages, and Suzy does all the interior design and decorating.
