Hi! We are the Ostendorfs, Libby, Tommy, Ryder and our recent addition, Shane. We currently live in El Segundo, CA, but I am from Manhattan Beach, CA, originally and my wife, Libby, is from Seattle, WA. Libby is a Pilates Instructor and I own and operate Surf Schools and youth beach & skateboard programs in Southern California. We spend most of our free time at the beach and we love to travel! I am an avid surfer and spent a few seasons working as a surf guide at the Tavarua Resort in Fiji. Most of my travels have revolved around waves and I've been fortunate to travel all over the Pacific, Central America, Indonesia, Australia, New Zealand and Europe in search of waves. My wife enjoys traveling as well and it is our hope to take many extended trips with our sons, Ryder and Shane, in the next few years. As travelers, we prefer to stay with friends or at AirBnB's, as opposed to hotels, because what we enjoy most about traveling is experiencing the community and the culture of the places we visit. We consider ourselves laid-back, easy going and low-maintenance. We consider any hiccups just part of the experience! Our Hosting Philosophy We just built a brand new 1-bedroom cottage/apartment behind our house that we hope to share with traveling friends, family and AirBnb Guests. As hosts, we understand that all guests travel differently and have different expectations and needs. We are always available to our guests via phone, email or text, and often in person (depending on our travels!), as much or as little as they need. We love our community in El Segundo and Manhattan Beach and are eager to share our favorite things, so feel free to reach out to us. If you'd like to go at it on your own, great! We respect that!
