Ferry Landing

Watch the harbour activities and ever changing vista from the deck of our clean and comfortable home. We are situated just above the car ferry on the Russell side of the Opua harbour. The ferry cost is $18 per car & runs a continual service. Or you can walk on for just $2 per person. Please note that although you have sole occupancy of the house, the property has another cottage & resident in it. The driveway is also shared. Kiwi spotting is a favourite thing to do. Red torch supplied to do this

You’ll love our place because of the location in a peaceful and quiet street, 1.2 km away from all the hubbub and noise associated with being right in the heart of Paihia (especially in holiday season). Our place is close to supermarkets, beaches, restaurants and dining, walking tracks, cruises and tours.

Staffa Bay iconic '70s treehouse

Staffa Bay is a stunning safe swimming beach at the eastern end of Woolleys Bay, near Matapouri, on the Tutukaka Coast. Nestled in the glorious native bush including a nikau palm grove, the house is situated right on the beach with a magnificent view over Woolleys Bay and the sea. This private, comfortable, peaceful home provides a unique retreat, with its own beach access it's 25 metres from door to beach. 5 minute walk to the magical Whale Bay Reserve.

The beach is safe for swimming, rock pooling, kayaking, paddle-boarding and has a surf break at the southern end of the beach.
