The Donkey Dairy Cottage - Farm Stay

The Donkey Dairy is one of a kind! Nestled on the slopes of the majestic Magaliesberg, this working donkey farm is home to a variety of friendly farm animals. On your visit you will be greeted by our alpacas, chickens, donkeys, horses, goats and even camels. If you would like to replace your cell phone’s morning alarm with the crowing of roosters or replace the hooting of cars with the braying of donkeys, the solar powered Donkey Dairy Cottage is the place for you! Shengwedzi - exclusive retreat

Shengwedzi is a charming 10 acre weekend hideaway situated at the foot of the northern side of the Magaliesberg in the Buffelspoort Valley, close to the Easterkloof and Tonquani Gorge. The original thatched roofed farmhouse, built in the 1920's, with its three surrounding cottages and rondavel, offer a perfect escape far from the pressures of city life for the exclusive enjoyment of a single group. Shengwedzi offers adults and children a memorable experience in a magical setting.

Magaliesberg Mountain Lodge

Our Lodge on the mountain has the best views in the Magaliesberg. With sweeping vistas over the valley, you'll be immediately at peace gazing from the patio. A traditional thatch bush home, The Lodge has been lovingly updated with modern, artistic character. Despite a short 1hr 10 min drive from the city, you'll be transported to the heart of nature in this 2,000 hectare game conservancy. Zebras, giraffes, baboons and buck roam freely with occasional visits to our drinking hole.

A compact house situated amongst the trees in a pecan nut orchard. This stylish unit is on the Melody Hill Retreat property - Yoga classes and kahuna massages can be arranged on arrival. Feel free to walk in the pecan nut orchard or to walk through the labyrinth. You're bound to spot monkeys, bush babies, squirrels, porcupines and lots of hornbills during your stay. Enjoy perfect winter days next to the wood-burning fireplace.

Le Opstal is a private farmhouse on De Waterkloof Farm near Rustenburg, ideal for families, couples or small groups.
