We arrived after dark and drove up to find the lights on -- so warm and welcoming. Then we walked inside and found a "Welcome" message, a jar of local coffee beans, a little basket of fresh eggs for breakfast, and a pile of books & DVD from the library. I'd mentioned my daughter's interest in Black Mountain College and Erik borrowed all that he could on the subject from the library for her! So many things! The place is adorable. The kitchen was nicely stocked with a good selection of seasonings, spices & oils; the fridge held a pitcher of filtered water & just enough butter; we appreciated the grocery "member" card; and loved all of the tips about things to do and the basket of local flyers and brochures (we left a few maps & things). There were plenty of towels and extra linens, etc. Everything was straightforward... and really great. Thank you!!
We had such a wonderful time on our trip, 4 couples total. We enjoyed exploring and skipping stones in the river in the back yard the most. We cooked dinner multiple times and had everything we needed to make it a success. Although there are neighbors, we never noticed them, and the location felt very private. The check-in and check-out process was seamless.
