This is not a commercial coffee tour, it is an educational experience to create awareness in the only organic specialty coffee plantation in the Monteverde area, located in the Ecological Sanctuary, a 48 hectares family project focused on conservation, sustainability, agroecology, education and culture. In a guided workshop by an expert where you will learn from the basics of ancestral agriculture, how we create our own organic fertilizers, then you will know the coffee gardens planted in the forest that surrounds the Ecological Sanctuary, the drying area, and the process that involves the specialty coffee (history, plantations, growth, development, varieties and the science of flavor to prepare a good coffee). After leaving the forest, we will enjoy a guided coffee tasting, sharpening the senses to recognize defects, attributes, aromas and flavors in different qualities of coffee. Monteverde in Costa Rica is one of the best destinations for Birdwatching around different birds habitats. I was raised in Monteverde where I have been living all my life listening all the different bird calls all the time, that I can recognize 99% of them. My 31 years experience made me very exigent to use different birdwatching places, depending the season or weather conditions to see as many birds as possible. We'll start birdwatching at 6:00 AM, where we'll see about 30 different species of birds at an elevation of about 4,500 feet above sea level. Then we'll stop at the cafeteria for a quick Costa Rican coffee. After that, we'll move up to Curicancha Reserve where we'll walk through two different life zones including different types of forests (secondary, transitional and primary) plus open areas where we'll be able to see much more variety of birds or Santa Elena Cloud Forest Reserve to be at a different elevation—about 5,000 feet above sea level—where we'll see much more interesting birds, including the resplendent quetzal, guans, barbets, three-wattled bellbirds, tinamous, and so many others. Is good to know that if you repeat the tour, you must see other birds you didn't see the day before.. Typically we would see 60 to 70 different types of birds. Our day starts by meeting at our office located 20 min away from Liberia downtown through the small villages of Colorado and Curubande. We count with two parking lots at our location in Curubande where you can leave your car safe while we do the hike. From Curubande we will take a 4WD for 1 km that will take us to the entrance of the waterfall trail and here is where the hike begins. The waterfall is well hidden away on the outskirts of Rincon de la Vieja Volcano . The trail is 1.3 Miles (2 Kilometers) singletrack so together it is 4 km. There are some climbing to do in elevation and some caves to go across. Later to reach the waterfall we have to swim 25 meters through a beautiful turquoise river canyon. This is a local experience that takes place where the Blanco and the Colorado rivers cross through, forming canyons and beautiful scenery which is why the water in their pools have that special turquoise tint.

Nos reuniremos con el guía asignado en Sloth Watching Trail a las 8:00am, o en su hotel si es cerca de La Fortuna. (solicitar transporte) Primero nos dirigimos a la majestuosa Catarata de La Fortuna, (520 escalones) que tiene 70 metros de altura; donde si el clima lo permite, nos bañaremos en sus aguas cristalinas. (si llueve mucho no será posible) Estaremos alrededor de una hora y media en este lugar; luego tomaremos el minibús para dirigirnos al siguiente punto y uno de los más espectaculares, la caminata en el bosque tropical hasta la base del Volcán Arenal, donde visitaremos los coladas de lava de los años 1525, 1968 y 2010; Además mientras disfrutamos de este hermoso Parque Ecológico aprenderemos sobre los árboles y animales que habitan este lugar. (Aproximadamente dos horas hasta la base del volcán y una hora hasta la laguna verde). Una vez realizado esto, tendremos un almuerzo tradicional estilo picnic. Para finalizar retornamos al bus para dirigirnos al río natural de aguas termales (Rio Tabacón), donde disfrutaremos de un lugar majestuoso, también les colocaremos una mascarilla de barro volcánico. ( No hay vestidores así que lleven traje de baño puesto) Para después de un gran día de aventura y experiencia, regrese a La Fortuna alrededor de las 4 pm.

**WE GO OUT WITH MORE THAN 10 PPL ON THE BOAT! This is a shared group activity for up to 90 ppl. Come on board as we cruise into the open sea , in search of spotted dolphins, migratory humpback whales, sea turtles and manta rays. As we make our way down the coastline of Manuel Antonio National Park, you can admire the mysterious islands, jagged cliffs and unique rock formations, these are the nesting grounds and home for numerous species of marine birds, including magnificent frigates, pelicans, yellow footed boobies and white ibises. After touring the coastline we will anchor in a protected area, the pristine Biezans Bay for a snorkeling adventure in the warm Pacific waters. We provide the masks, snorkels and fins, everything you need to dive and observe the underwater playground for numerous species of colorful tropical fish. If you like mammals such as sloths, armadillos, active birds such as owls, amphibians, reptiles, and many insects, then this is the opportunity to carry out an outdoor activity and learn more about the nocturnal behavior of many species of flora and fauna. It is an easily accessible route of around 2 kilometers, the ‘jewels’ of the cloud forest shine brighter at night. With luck, we will even be able to observe the famous bioluminescent mushrooms. the place where I do the night walk is very close to the center of Monteverde Santa Elena, it takes only 5 minutes by car. Let's wait for you to observe how the cloud forest comes to life at night.

ATV & ZIPLINE ALL IN ONE DAY THIS INCLUDES: Minimum group 2 people and driver's license 1- A small quick class will be taught on how the activity is carried out with the equipment and safety devices. We will visit the Jacó zipline adventure park, which has 12 suspension bridges and ramps between trees, the routes are long and at a high altitude that it seems that you are flying among the treetops At the top of a hill in the forest we can enjoy the viewpoint towards the coast. 2- Then we visit the ATV park where we will visit a montain, we will make a stop at a viewpoint to see the sea, then we will pass a path that crosses streams and low-flow rivers until we reach the beach where we can take a break and refresh ourselves. Le recogeré en su hotel si está en ruta (Area metropolitana). En el Valle Central con dirección al volcán, puntualizaremos en historia, geología, economía, demografía, arquitectura e idiosincrasia local; detallando edificios, cordilleras montañosas y demás aspectos que se aprecian desde la ciudad. Conduciremos en ascenso del edificio volcánico, apreciando no solo sus variados detalles geológicos -pasando sobre fallas tectónicas y al costado de hermosas cascadas- si no también la economía agrícola que se desarrolla en torno a la fertilidad de sus suelos de origen volcánico, destacandose la producción de café. Respecto a la actividad cafetalera, visitaremos una plantación para caminar dentro de ella y experimentar de manera general pero muy vividamente sus técnicas de producción, recolección y proceso. Conocerás su aporte histórico, económico y cultural al país. Finalmente degustaremos un café procesado como tradicionalmente aquí se ha hecho por más de 130 años. Llegaremos al Crater activo del Volcán Poás y veremos su laguna ácida de coloración mineral, aspecto que junto a la observación de sus suelos, rocas y vegetación nos permitiran reconocer su geomorfología y los diferentes tipos de actividad que se desarrollan en este estrato volcán complejo. Tomaremos el sendero a la laguna Botos observando su flora, fauna e historia natural. Almorzaremos típico con vista a una cascada.

Clase de yoga en playa paradisíaca. Yoga significa unión entre cuerpo, mente y espíritu. El yoga ofrece bienestar, satisfacción y equilibrio, el contacto con la naturaleza, el mar, la brisa cálida, un lugar único en el mundo, te ayudará a encontrar la paz y armonía que tu cuerpo y mente necesitan. Para empezar, el punto de encuentro será a las 7:40 am en el restaurante "El Avión", un lugar muy conocido y de fácil acceso donde literalmente hay un gran avión que un hombre visionario hizo parte de su restaurante y del maravilloso paisaje con vista al mar, luego caminaremos unos 10 minutos por un sendero donde con suerte nos podemos encontrar monos, perezosos, guatusas y demás fauna de la zona. Llegaremos a al sitio donde haremos yoga con increíbles vistas al mar y a la selva. Allí te facilitaré un mat y bloques de yoga si los necesitas. La clase de yoga durará una hora, es para todos los niveles, no te preocupes si es tu primera vez, hay diferentes variaciones en cada postura dependiendo el nivel.
