Cecil's castle far exceeded my expectations and the photos on Airbnb do not do this astounding home justice. Upon arriving we learned we had all six floors of the castle to ourselves (one other friend). We cooked in his first floor kitchen and ate dinner atop the castle's outdoor banisters, in disbelief at the gorgeous sunset and view of rolling hills and farms of animals. Cecil was extremely generous and accommodating and gave us a thorough tour of the history of the castle and area. My first thought after entering the castle was wishing I had booked for longer. I highly recommend if you are looking for an authentic and off the beaten path castle experience in Ireland.
Nice cozy cottage, perfect for exploring Tipperary. Patrick and Mary are wonderful hosts and made our stay even better. Patrick provided plenty of wood for the fireplace and even had it lite so the cottage was truly cosy when we arrived. Bed is comfy and the kitchen is well stocked. What's not to like! We will be back!
