A beautiful sunny spot with incredible views in an elevated position. Private and tranquil you can light the pizza oven and look at the stars. Log boxes with all you need with firelighters, kindling, wood as well as lighter for £5- pay in cash or via air b n b. There is an abundance of wildlife around to spot.
The cabin is hand built and fully insulated. It has an electric fire and a radiator, an electric oven and twin hob, a fridge and table and chairs. The double bed is cast iron, Victorian and very comfortable. Lots of lanterns, quirky and vintage items of around to make your stay unmissable.
Outside you can cook on the wood fired pizza oven and enjoy the views on the rattan furniture.
The building next door has full facilities to prepare food. There is also washing facilities and a luxury chemical toilet.
You can use the shower facilities at the family cottage where fresh towels are available.
Lastly you also receive complimentary snacks, cereals, coffee, tea.
A beautiful, tranquil spot with stunning views. The haven overlooks the family home but your privacy is assured.
Huntley village is only short walk across the fields with 2 local pubs you can walk to offering good quality food and beer.
Only 1.5 mile away is artisan bakery.
Archery centre and Brewery 1 mile away.
Great walks up in the woods direct from the house or up to Huntley quarry.
Bike rides all around the forest of dean- bikes available if needed.
There is international birds of prey centre up in newent less than 4 miles away.
Cannop ponds and beechenhurst lodge to explore forest from only 15 minutes drive or symonds Yat where you can walk by river, go climbing or canoeing and lots more.
If you like wildlife you will enjoy watching all birds and listen to owls or monk jack deer in the woods, in the evening you can go on walk to see the bats or glow worms in July- August time.

Beautiful rustic converted cartshed within the grounds of Caldicott Farm. Ideal for couples, or small families, with a large comfortable double bedroom, smaller bedroom with bunkbeds, open plan living/kitchen area and bathroom/shower. The cottage is situated in beautiful Herefordshire countryside, in a peaceful location, with only the farmhouse nearby. It is also an ideal retreat space, or a base to explore the Brecon Beacons, Malvern Hills, the River Wye, Hay on Wye, and the Forest of Dean.
The Cartshed has a large double bedroom, which is white and airy, with a wall of windows looking out to the grounds. The second bedroom is smaller, with two full sized single bunks. The main living space has two small sofas and TV to one end, and kitchen and small dining area to the other. The Cartshed is most suitable for couples, or couples with young children. The Cartshed looks out onto a private garden, which you can use for bbqs and dining outside. Caldicott Farm comprises of 3 acres, which you are welcome to explore. There are no neighbours, except our family who live in a farmhouse on site. The Cartshed is an exceptionally quite place, full of wildlife. You may see the barn owls which nest in the barn, woodpeckers, buzzards and red kites which are all regular visitors. It is the perfect place for peaceful getaway, and a base to explore the beautiful Herefordshire countryside, rivers, hills, and black and white market towns.
The host has a complementary therapy space in an adjacent barn, and can provide one to one sound therapy, and group gong baths. Sound therapy is an excellent way to uwind and relax, helping to relieve the syptoms of stress. The area is very quiet, surrounded by farmland and woodland. There are no neighbours, except the hosts in the main house. There are public foot paths, and woodlands to explore locally. The ancient and magical Dinedor Hill is very close by. Hereford is a local market town, famed for the Cathedral housing the medieval Mappa Mundi and Chained Library. The local villages have some great riverside pubs, providing lunches and evening meals . Canoe hire is available locally, as an ideal way to explore the local rivers. Activities for children include several local farm parks, Go-Ape and Pedalaway Cycling in the Forest of Dean, Butterfly Zoo, Maze and boat trips on the river at Symonds Yat. Puzzlewood is also a fantastic kids attraction about a 40 minute drive, and has a stream train ride next door. For rainy days there is a local swimming pool 15 minutes away , indoor climbing centre, pottery painting, and an indoor soft play centre in Hereford. Walking along Hay Bluff, exploring the Brecon Beacons, British Camp in the Malvern Hills, or a trip to Llangorse Lake are other popular days out in the area.

I have a 1 bedroom self contained flat. The flat has a kitchen , bathroom, lounge and conservatory complete with a small patio area. The flat is connected to the main house within a gated property. In the main house I live with my children and a very old friendly Labrador. The is plenty of parking space outside the flat. We also provide free wifi.
The kitchen has a washing machine, fridge, freezer, cooker, oven and cooking utensils. I will provide bedding, towels and basic toiletries.
We are situated in Folly Lane which is within walking distance to the city centre, train station and hospital.

The cottage is spacious and serene with an oriental flavour. The kitchen is well appointed and there is an amazing and unusual wet room. Pets are welcome and are charged £20 extra per animal.
The cottage is situated in a very quiet and tranquil area of South Shropshire. The scenery is stunning; there are interesting places to visit from castles to gardens, woods and forts. There are plenty of excellent restaurants being near to the old historical food centre of Britain - Ludlow. You can walk for miles on well signposted footpaths and cycle either on the quiet lanes or mountain biking in the local forestry.

The stunning hand built gypsy wagon is near the beautiful village of Huntley in the Royal Forest of Dean.
Situated in secluded orchard the wagon offers full indoor and outdoor cooking area including a wood fired pizza oven! The is a large cool box, a small fridge and music centre. Log boxes with all you need with firelighters, kindling, wood as well as lighter for £5- pay in cash or via air b n b.
Percys wagon is a wonderful spot to unwind and relax. Simply sit out on the decking in the evening and listen to the array of wildlife including owls and buzzards.
Inside there is a wood burner and an electric radiator to keep you warm. Fresh towels and woollen throw are also available.
It is a traditional wagon so the bed is slightly shorter than an standard one but is very comfortable. We are 5ft 10 and 5ft 6 and sleep without any issues.
There is a separate toilet and washing area comprising of a luxury chemical toilet, more towels, soap and water. Full shower facilities are also available at the family cottage with prior notice.
Percy the donkey and Max the sheep are both tame and love to keep our guests company!
Dogs are also very welcome.
Huntley village is only short walk across the fields with 2 local pubs you can walk to offering good quality food and beer.
Only 1.5 mile away is artisan bakery.

Dating back to 1752 this rustic Granary has been sympathetically converted to retain its original features. Perfect for chilling out or walking, set in our family farmland with direct access to Offas Dyke footpath. Dramatic high ceiling oak beamed bedroom with ensuite. Cosy low beamed kitchen/diner with wood burning stove. The sunroom/lounge makes the very most of natural sunlight with rural farm views.
The dramatic high oak beamed ceiling of the bedroom provides a unique space combined with the modern convenience of an ensuite bathroom. The cosy kitchen/diner (originally where corn was ground in 1752), has a range of modern kitchen appliances including coffee machine. The wood burning stove is available for romantic evenings in and the sun room/lounge makes the most of sunny days.
The nearest village is about a three minute drive away or a pleasant twenty minute stroll across the fields. The local village pub has a great restaurant or bar meals and is open every day.

Parking: your designated space is immediately in front of The Nook with level access from the tarmac drive to the low threshold entrance into your entrance hall.
Hall: Here you can store coats, bags and muddy boots. A hair dryer is provided along with a large mirror and handy socket. Bookshelves and cupboard with games.
Studio room: a comfortable double bed awaits, which is at wheelchair accessible height, with an angle poise reading light. Two wardrobes, full length mirror, small extendable table, which doubles as a desk, 2 comfy upholstered dining chairs and a desk lamp. The padded headboard and cushions mean you can comfortably sit or lie back and relax on the bed and watch TV or read one of The Nook’s books or magazines. Kitchen area: hob, oven, microwave, kettle, small fridge, toaster. Room approximately 450cm X 382cm.
Bathroom: this was designed with accessibility in mind and there is a walk/roll in shower with no lip and non-slip tiles in the shower area. There are 2 shower heads; one fixed and one hand held if you are sitting down. The wall hung toilet is higher than normal making it more accessible to those with reduced mobility. The sink is also wall hung. A perching stool and toilet frame are available upon request. There is underfloor heating as well as a heated towel radiator.
We are situated in a country lane a few minutes walk from the village of Wellington and a short drive from the A49. The village has a well-stocked shop selling some local produce, a post office, and a home and garden centre, with a café, which sells both plants, gifts and architectural antiques.
We can recommend some good country pubs, as well as restaurants in Hereford. There are 4 golf clubs within a 15 minute drive, many beautiful walks including a local arboretum, Bodenham lakes, a bright and modern arts centre for theatre, music, art and eating, plus many more historic, cultural and outdoor attractions.

The Annex is a seperate building on two floors
The bedroom and bathroom are upstairs. To access the bedroom are external stairs.
Downstairs is a great open plan living space. We can accommodate extra guest on a sofa bed (single) in the main bedroom although a little crowded. Alternatively we can accommodate downstairs on a blow up bed.
There is private parking. The Annex is perfect for couples with Dogs wanting to enjoy a break near the River Wye.
Ross town is a mile away.
The Annexe is in close proximity to the main house.
The front garden next to the Annex is available to use for relaxing and Dog exercising !! Here is where you will find the charcoal BBQ and Fire Pit for your use.
The Hot Tub is available to all our guests, its situated next to The Annex. Guests can use the Hot Tub, just check in with us at the time so we don't clash allowing you to enjoy the time and have your privacy. Please note the hot tub is in an open space and overlooked by the main house.
The Annexe is located on Bannuttree Lane, which is just off the A49 Hereford to Ross on Wye road.

This luxurious glamping accommodation features a king size bed with plush pillows and a luxuriously cosy duvet, a full sized dining table and chairs, outside furniture, a luxurious Scandinavian wood fired hot tub (2 person hot tub, £65.00 extra charge), BBQ,Microwave, Toaster and a private bathroom with a steaming hot shower, a flushing toilet and convenient kitchenette.

There is a full suite of outside furniture including a large sofa, coffee table as well as a parasol (for hot summer days). We have available a Scandinavian wood fired hot tub which is situated in a private area with great views of surrounding countryside (£65 Extra Charge). Please note the hot tub is open to the air so that users can enjoy the trees, sky, stars and the rain when it comes (£65.00 extra charge to be paid by bank transfer or cash on arrival. Once agreed the hot tub can be cancelled up to 48 hours prior to arrival), BBQ, pizza oven (subject to availability) (£25.00 extra charge to be paid by bank transfer or cash on arrival). 4 x Dough balls provided but guests must bring their own toppings.
There is a private bathroom with a steaming hot shower, a flushing toilet and convenient kitchenette. Facilities in the kitchen include; Microwave, kettle, toaster, fridge with a small freezer. There is no electric oven. We also have a pizza oven available for hire £25 additional charge including 4 hand made pizza dough balls subject to availability. All dogs welcome (max 2 per booking) extra charge £15.00 per dog to be paid by cash on arrival. All dog owners must adhere to our dog policy copies of which are available on request. Please provide a valid email address when requesting this. STRICTLY Dogs are NOT allowed on furniture. Dog sitting service by prior arrangement. There are plenty of walks in the surrounding area for dogs and people. Any damage caused by dogs will be charged accordingly. Due to limited parking we can only accommodate one car per booking additional cars only by prior arrangement.
Set within 45 acres of private secluded woodland with many walks on the doorstep. The setting is in natural woodland. There is very little light pollution which enables guests to enjoy clear starry skies weather permitting. For this reason artificial light in the natural environment is kept to a minimum.

My husband Gary and I rescued The Coach House at auction in October 2013 and then spent the next 24 months taking it from a derelict 'shed', as we affectionately call it, with no services whatsoever and a large hole in the roof to a fantastic detached 1 bedroom home in the centre of Hereford. With award winning local architects on board (RRA Architects Ltd) and builders (R M Caldicott & Sons Ltd) who were committed to our vision, we have been sympathetic to the original structure whilst adding a very modern extension to expand the living space.
Hereford is steeped in history and the location of The Coach House is a stone's throw (10 minute walk) from the Cathedral and the historic centre.
Residential parking can be a challenge in Hereford so the private parking space means you can easily explore the beautiful Herefordshire countryside and its charming villages, without the torture of finding a convenient parking spot upon your return!
Hereford's many pubs, restaurants and nightspots are also within a 10 minute walk so no excuse not to sample a beverage or two! The Cider Museum is a mere 5 minute walk away!!!
Major supermarkets are also on the doorstep including a 24 hour Asda.

Situated 3 miles outside of Hereford, this is a double bedroom ensuite with well equipped kitchen, study/sitting room and good sized courtyard for your use. An extension to a coach house, this accommodation is a very private and comfortable annex with ample parking. Please note, if looking for four people, there is another double room in the main house that can be booked (subject to availability).
Discreet from but attached to the main house, you have absolute privacy. The Coach House is at the end of a long wooded driveway - far enough from the main road to be truely tranquil.
There is a village shop and two pubs within walking distance (both offering excellent food). The Coach House is ideally situated for touring the area, close to Ledbury, the Malvern Hills, the Black Mountains and Hay on Wye, and, of course, Wales.

Lovely open plan with bedroom on mezzanine floor. Living room with log fire, kitchen area and wet room. Close to amenities shops, bars, restaurants - 7 minute walk down the hill. Also 5 minute walk from parkland with river access. Towels not inc.
We have a lovely converted barn available to rent for short and long stays. Adjacent to but detached from The Old School House [this sleeps 8 comfortably and is also available to rent - see separate entry], the cottage was originally the stables and barn for the headmaster and pupils of Lady Hawkins School (founded 1632) , it then later became the music room. We converted it in 2008 into a quiet self-contained open-plan living space, keeping the original beams and features, including the school bell tower.
Inside the cottage is light and airy with white stone walls, oak floors, a Shaker-style kitchen area and galleried bedroom. The wood burner is fuel-efficient and keeps the whole place toasty when needed.
The porch, where you can leave dirty shoes, wellies etc, opens into the kitchen-living room area. The kitchen has a Belfast sink, wooden worktop, electric hob, microwave, toaster, fridge. The beamed, high ceiling living room area has the wood burner, oak table and seating, sofa, double sofa bed, chair, coffee table, lamps, bookshelf and books. Also on the ground floor is the tiled wet-room with shower, W.C and basin.
Painted wooden stairs lead up to the open-plan galleried bedroom with southerly views across the Arrow Valley. Divided by a cross-beam into two sleeping areas, there is one with a low level double bed and the other with two single futons suitable for children but could be used by adults. All bedlinen (100% cotton) is provided.
Digital TV & DVD, radio and broadband connection is provided. A folder of information about what to see and do in the local area is also provided.

Note on accessibility: there are two stone and rather uneven steps up to the porch of the cottage. Upstairs to the sleeping area is accessed via a short but fairly steep, curved wooden staircase.
Guests have off-road parking for one vehicle in front of the cottage. When the main house is not occupied you are welcome to explore and chill-out in the large garden which has plenty of outdoor seating.
Aud, who lives nearby and manages The Cottage for us while we are away, is always welcoming and ready to assist or answer queries but she assumes most guests prefer to be left in peace. So, interaction is minimal unless you want it to be more, in which case don't hesitate to contact her.
Kington (population 2,500 or thereabouts) is a genuinely unspoiled and unpretentious historic market town on the English-Welsh border. Our 12 year old son, who currently lives in Nairobi, describes it as, 'fun, friendly and safe'! Until the 1960s it was a major hub for sheep and cattle drovers (the main street and medieval alleyways with their high burgage walls are visible remnants of this former life) and it still serves what is a largely rural farming community and it has retained a weekly livestock market (Thursdays). But nowadays visitors come all year round and Kington provides a welcome and down-to-earth escape from urban and city life... You won't find a trace of a Costa coffee shop here, instead there are local independent cafes and shops (including a deli, organic vegetables, wet-fish, bakers, butchers), and traditional pubs (some brew their own ales), plus an award-winning local museum.
There's plenty of good food and drink to be found, much of it locally produced.
Surrounded by the naturally beautiful Welsh border countryside, on foot or by car there is much to enjoy locally. We love a walk on Hergest Ridge along the Offa's Dyke Path (the cottage is at the foot of the ridge) across to Gladestry, or a cream tea sitting outside on the Edwardian verandah at Hergest Croft Gardens (6 minutes walk away), or a pint by the fireside at The Harp in Old Radnor.
From late May onwards almost every weekend there is a local festival or fete to be found and November and December weekends are usually busy with local Christmas Fairs. Well-known local festivals and events include: the Hereford Art Week (early September), the Rough Ride Cycle Event (August), Hay Literary Festival (end May-June), How the Light Gets In (Globe Hay end May -June), The Royal Welsh Show (Builth July), Sheep Music (Presteigne), Presteigne Music Festival, Titley Jazz Festival, Kington Vintage Show (mid August), Kington Show (a major agricultural event held in early September), Kington Walking Festival (September).
Kington is ideally situated for visitors to mid-Wales and the Marches, walkers, canoeists, cyclists. It is in easy reach of Hay-on-Wye, Hereford, Leominster, Rhyader, Builth Wells, Brecon, Presteigne, the Black Mountains and Golden Valley. And Aberystwyth and the coast are just 59 miles away and easily do-able in a day.

Nearest airports : Birmingham International (74 miles), Bristol (92 miles), Cardiff (93 miiles), Manchester (119 miles) and East Midlands (114 miles) - distances vary but for all allow 2.5 - 3 hours.
Nearest railway stations: Leominster (15 miles), Hereford (20 miles). From these there are direct trains to Birmingham, Cardiff, Manchester, London, Fishguard/Holyhead.
Local bus services connect Kington to: Hereford, Llandrindod Wells, Presteigne, Lyonshall, Eardisley, Weobley.
Local taxi services are available (best to pre-book) and recommended if arriving by train in the evening hours as buses stop running quite early. A car is not essential.
Do ask if you need travel advice or local taxi numbers.

Children are very welcome but note the property is open-plan with an upstairs galleried sleeping area. Access to the stairs is open, there is no stair-gate so we would not recommend it for mobile toddlers. A high chair is available on request - please notify us in advance.
One well-behaved dog, with own bedding, is welcome at an extra cost of £15. Dog owners are requested to discuss arrangements with us beforehand so as to avoid any misunderstandings.

We have lots of dog walks around locally, so plenty for the furry pet member.

Our village is a lovely little village with views of the Black Mountains, it has two pubs, and a park which is fun for dogs and children.

Hereford City Centre is 10mins drive, and here you can visit our wonderful cathedral, and see the Map of Mundi.
Hereford is a lovely city, with plenty of shops.
Hay on Wye and Brecon Beacons is also 20 mins away

The Haystore is a private self contained annexe to our listed Barn. It is approached down a country lane through our lovely neighbours' farm. The Haystore has been fully refurbished to provide gorgeous accommodation with direct access onto National Trust parkland and the Wye Valley AONB. Within walking distance is a farm shop, and a little further two award winning pubs. Ross-on-Wye, Symonds Yat and the Black Mountains are a short drive making us an ideal base to explore the wider area.
The Hay Store has been newly refurbished to a high standard offering a cosy hideaway after a day exploring the magnificent surrounding area. Organic milk, cereal, tea, coffee and cake are provided for your arrival to get you settled in. There is an open plan kitchen/sitting room with comfy sofa, armchair and digital TV/DVD, the kitchen is fully equipped with dishwasher, oven, fridge and freezer compartment, microwave etc. A small hallway leads to a south facing courtyard that looks out over the farm barn complex. The hallway leads on to a shower room and a separate dual aspect double bedroom with luxury king size bed. Guests also have use of our paddock and double garage for storing of bikes/canoes/climbing kit. There is a washing machine/dryer available for guests by arrangement.
The Hay Store is situated next to National Trust parkland, within the Wye Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Walk farm tracks down to the mighty river Wye, stop at a pub, or just sit in magnificent parkland and marvel at ancient oak trees.

Hi, we have a beautiful summerhouse in our lovely garden , diy breakfast can be taken on the veranda of the summerhouse.Bathroom is in the main house which is about 40 steps across the garden .(guests who have frequent nighttime bathroom visits might be better in the other room in the house
There is a 32inch tv with freeview, wi fi can be a bit sporadic but generally ok , plenty walks nearby , good local shop , pub ,and coffee shop all within walking distance

Rose Cottage is the last property at the end of a country lane. The Lodge apartment is a very spacious studio flat over the double garage. You will have access to the hot tub and other garden areas where you can enjoy the idyllic rural location and stunning views. You will love Rose Cottage because of the beautiful setting and relaxing environment.
It is ideal for couples, solo adventurers, business travellers or families with a young child.
The apartment consists of a very large room - bedroom / dining area / lounge space, a newly upgraded spacious shower room and fully equipped kitchen.
There is a standard double bed. Also, a put you up single bed and travel cot are available.
Laundry facilities are available in our utility room in the cottage.
There are several good pubs nearby; the village of Longhope has a recreation field, village shop and great bakery, where you can also get coffee and delicious snacks and pastries. Hillside Brewery is just over the hill and is popular for tours and there are other micro breweries nearby. Harts Barn Centre has a variety of outlets, including a reputable tea room and a cookery course kitchen.

We are 3.2 miles from the wonderful market town of Abergavenny, gateway to the Beacons National Park. We have amazing views of Skirrid Mountain and countryside. You can roam freely around our 5 acres of land/garden,which in summer benefits from a flower meadow. We supply outside furniture and sole use of our external hot tub, all year around, a disclaimer to be signed prior to use.
Please do not ask for less than a 2 night stay as it's not possible to accommodate this request.
We offer storage for cycles, we can lend you maps and give personal knowledge of the local bike parks and activities in the area. Daisy Lodge is a beautiful 1-bedroom bespoke, ecological building, which is energy efficient and produced in Lapland, Finland.
The property benefits private access, off road parking and is finished to 5* standard, with the use of a hot-tub all year round, providing a waiver has been signed. We have installed a brand new and improved hot tub for 2019. Please do NOT adjust the settings on the hot-tub or move or close any of the jets. We provide designer bedding, bath robes, smart TV, Wi-Fi, dishwasher, washing machine, tumble Dryer, luxury shower, mobile reception for most providers and breath-taking views. We also provide an external sink to clean boots and a boot rack, and deck shoes if required. There is also a bioethanol fire, we provide the first bottle of fuel if you require more you will need to purchase prior to your arrival, as no local stockists.
We are very lucky to be located next to a working farm and so we have Cows, sheep and horses as part of our everyday scenery.

One of the most beautiful rural locations in the UK, the house was converted from an 18th century barn into a spacious home, combining original oak beamed character with a comfortable, contemporary living style.
There are marvellous views of the Brecon Beacons National Park from the house and cottage.
A great feature of the house and cottage is the ability to walk directly on to public footpaths leading to Black Hill, the Offa's Dyke footpath, and Hay Bluff.
The house and cottage annex provide spacious accommodation for up to 10 guests.

The log burner kept us really toasty in the evenings whilst watching films on the home cinema set up. We walked from the house on the public footpath with dog and 4 week old baby in a sling across the fields into Longtown, stopped at the pub for a drink, and the shop for supplies and walked back via the road. We also headed over to the other side of the valley to explore the landscape, less than 10 minute drive and then on foot again up the mountain. Very relaxed. The views are amazing."

This is a relatively undiscovered part of the UK with beautiful countryside, but with easy access to excellent restaurants and pubs, and culture and retail therapy in the book town of Hay-on-Wye and Abergavenny.
Longtown village with its well-provisioned shop, post office and pub is five minutes drive away. Within 25 minutes drive are the Walnut Tree & Hardwick restaurants offering high quality cuisine in relaxed settings - book in advance!
The magical Llanthony Abbey is in the next valley.
The historic Marches towns of Ludlow, Ross-on-Wye, Ledbury and Hereford are within easy travelling distance.
SOME OF THE LOCAL SITES OF INTEREST:
Llanveynoe Church - 15 minute walk along the lane or through the fields and along the public footpath.
Longtown Castle - in the middle of the village.
Llanthony Priory & Cwmyoy Church - both in the next valley to the west of the cottage - a must when you are so near.
St. Margaret's Church, 15 minute drive - very beautiful medieval church with a wonderful carved Rood Screen.
Abbey Dore Church and Monastery - 20 minute drive.
Red Daren/Offa's Dyke - directly opposite the house :- Drive for 10 minutes along the Mountain Road (the one you were told not to take just before you first arrived), over the river and up and over the cattle grid into the National Park - until you reach the parking place directly opposite the house. Within a few hundred yards before, and only a few yards after the parking place, there are two public footpaths leading up the mountain. The first is easier and will take you towards Llanthony Priory, the second is steeper and will take you in the direction of Hay Bluff.
Cat's Back/Black Hill : quickest way to the top of the ridge and great views - 10 minute drive to the car park at the bottom of the Hill.
Abergavenny - nearest market town (with a Waitrose, Aldi, Morrison, and Tesco), 25 minute drive on the route to Cardiff (which is only an hour away, traffic permitting, if you would like to spend some time in a surprisingly great little city).
Hay on Wye - the book town - retail therapy, good food and pubs.
The drive, from Ty'r Olchon to Hay-on Wye, taking the shortest route on the narrow road which climbs up to the highest point, gives stunning views and takes about 25 minutes.

Coddington is a typical rural Herefordshire village, with quiet lanes, a pretty church, a Vineyard and lots of good walks.The nearest pubs are The Farmers Arms 3 miles away in Wellington Heath and The Oak at Staplow. We are 7 miles away from the Malvern hills. There is an abundance of stunning walks from your doorstep.

The Cotswolds is only a 30 minute drive away and further afield we have Bath, Bristol and even Cardiff.

"The Smithy" is a 17th C Blacksmiths Barn, converted to a high-end standard .There is a large dual aspect beamed vaulted ceiling in the living room,a log burner, leather sofa, pine table and chairs, free wi fi and Sony TV. There is a cosy bedroom with a 5ft brass bed, a high spec bathroom - with deep bath, rain soak shower and heated floor. Last but not least, the modern fitted kitchen has everything you will require for your culinary needs.A secluded garden with fire pit and seats to stargaze.
We also leave complimentary breakfast items out to enhance your stay.
One behaved dog is allowed but there is an extra charge payable of £20 per night.
We are very central for visiting the area. Pembridge and Presteigne are 5 drive mins away, Kington - 10 mins, Leominster - 20 mins, Ludlow/Hay on Wye/ Hereford - 30mins, & Ledbury - 60mins.
We are in an area renowned for many stunning local attractions - The Kington Walking Festival, The Literary Festival at Hay on Wye, The Black And White Trail, Hampton Court, Numerous Farmers Markets, Antique Shops, Chase Gin Distillery, Cider Makers & Multiple National Trust properties.
We are fortunate to be surrounded by stunning scenery, walking trails & award winning eating establishments.
The Mortimer trail can be accessed directly from the property, as can the Medieval 2,500 yr old Wapley Hill Fort. On reaching the Fort you can enjoy stunning views of the Malvern Hills and Famous Brecon Beacons. We are also fortunate to be surrounded by an abundance of stunning wildlife. You will almost certainly encounter - pheasants, deer, owls and even the odd turkey in the woods !
The Stag Inn at Titley is just up the road which has won numerous awards over the years, including a Michelin Star. The Cider Barn at Pembridge is also another wonderful Barn to eat at. If you wish to go a little further The Harp Inn at Old Radnor is a typical traditional pub which serves wholesome fare. All the above get very busy we highly recommend booking in advance.

'The Cwtch' at Dan y Coed is set in a small village 3 miles from Crickhowell and 3 miles from Abergavenny. This is a 200 year old cottage which is set in a quiet country lane surrounded by greenery in the heart of the Brecon Beacons national parks. The Cwtch is a separate and private part of the house, it does however share the main entrance and the stairs. It's semi self catering with fridge, microwave and toaster only. Comprising of two double bedrooms, private shower room and lounge.
We are ideally situated for nature lovers, walking holidays, local attractions including castles, museums beautiful mountains for keen climbers (Sugar Loaf), Skirrid, Pen y Fan the highest mountain range in South Wales.The property is centrally heated. The property is accessed through the main entrance to the house and once in 'The Cwtch' has its own door leading to all rooms except the large lounge which is downstairs for your sole use. We are semi self catering with microwave and toaster available, however please know this is not a kitchen. The stable block is an ideal space for 2 people with double bedroom, bathroom, kitchen and sitting room. The property is situated in the country but only 2.5 miles from Hereford and only 5 minutes walk from the village gastropub
The Barn (our house) and Stables were originally the farm buildings for Lugwardine Court. These derelict properties were converted in 2011 to residential use. The Stables forms one side of the courtyard with the Barn and the old walled garden forming another 2 sides.
The Stables with its underfloor heating and a wood burner provide a lovely fully self contained private place to stay.
