Beautiful cottage in a beautiful little village in the Cotswolds. We couldn't recommend it highly enough. Katy is a lovely host who had everything already set up to make our stay as easy as possible especially accommodating our 8 months old baby.

We had a wonderful time at the cottage. The house is beautiful and perfectly located for exploring the Cotswolds. It was a lovely, reading weekend away from it all We look forward to returning!

We enjoyed staying at Annas place. Very nicely decorated and everything was perfectly set up for us (beds, towels e.g.) Its a beautiful cottage to stay with family/friends for some relaxing days in the Cotswold area. It was the perfect place for us. Anna is a great host. Although she was not around, she had made perfect arrangements for having everything prepared...Can only recommend it!!!! Five stars!!!!! Best experience...

The Chimes in Lower Slaughter in the heart of the Cotswolds is wonderful. It is warm and friendly, clean and pretty. Everything you need is already there when you walk in the door. Anna is an attentive and helpful host. We enjoyed being in the The Chimes so much we are thinking about booking it again for next summer.

Wonderful cottage! Stunning village, great pubs, very scenic. The vottage was very well maintained...high standards. My daughter loved the garden, swing and Wendy house in particular! Made for a great family holiday!

The house was in a fabulous location. We were there with 2 children (4 and 6) and being able to walk to the village and the attractions was amazing. 5 mins walk to the Motor Musuem and a lovely bakery overlooking the water. Walked to Birdland in 15 minutes at the other end of the village. Ate out in lots of lovely places, including the gastro-pub just a few doors down the road from Oakey Cottage, which was wonderful. The Cottage was immaculately kept and clean and the beds and linen perfect!

The cottage is newly decorated, all clean, working, and of a very good quality. We really enjoyed staying there. It's very close to a town centre and walks. The main road is quiet at nights and not very busy during the days. Not a problem if you are out walking somewhere anyway. Vikki is a great host. She even arranged posting back to me a phone charger that I've forgotten there. Thanks again Vikki!

Our stay at Oakey Cottage was was just perfect. Vikki has provided several little touches which help to make the stay so special; a little torch hangs on the bed post, chocolate cake, milk in the fridge and comprehensive manual including places to visit and good eating establishments. The situation is perfect for sightseeing in the Cotswolds and within walking distance to the lovely little village.

A beautiful cottage, perfectly located to explore Bourton and the delights of the Cotswolds. A lovely cottage; a real home from home. My daughters and I spent a wonderful 3 nights at Oakey Cottage. So many personal touches that make this cottage a real home from home. We especially loved the large roll top bath! Can highly recommend for all.

My friend and I had a fabulous three nights a Oakey cottage with our young daughters. The set-up was perfect for little ones and so was the property's location - just a short stroll from the centre of the village, which was buzzing and beautiful. I couldn't recommend it enough - and with Birdland, the model village and Cotswold farm park in the doorstep it's a perfect little getaway. Thanks for everything Vikki - the chocolate cake that greeted us on arrival topped it all off

Brilliant location less than 5 minutes walk to the centre of town. The house is split over 3 floors (twin room at the top, double and main bathroom in the middle) and is bigger than it looks on the photos. Vikki was kind enough to leave some tea and coffee - and even a cake! The house has been recently refurbished and is very pretty and comfortable. Not great for serious cooks as there's no oven, but otherwise a great property and welcoming host.

We loved River Barn, it was so relaxing. We had a great reliable taxi driver who collected us and took us to some gorgeous restaurants which were a 10minute drive away. River Barn was beautiful, very well decorated, very comfy bed, very clean and had a great feel to it. We can't wait to return!

The location is convenience and easy to find. The cottage is cosy, the environment around is so beautiful. Rachel is nice and helpful. What a wonderful trip.

Lovely accommodations!!! We have stayed in the barn twice now and loved our visit both times. It is charming, very clean, quiet and perfect for a small family of 3. Our daughter really enjoys playing in the creek out front and it is extremely safe. Thanks again! Kris

River Barn is a beautiful little home in an idyllic setting. I wanted a quiet, relaxing weekend in the country and that's exactly what I got. The place is newly converted and very comfortably outfitted. The bed is dreamy and perfect for a long lie in. There's a private patio with table and chairs to enjoy a cuppa. Upper Slaughter is a lovely village worthy of a slow walk through town and there are walking paths to Lower Slaughter and other nearby towns. The Sunday I visited there was a group selling teas and home bakes in the town hall. Rachel was very welcoming and helpful, and there were plenty of trail maps and brochures that made it easy for me to plan my outings. I could not have asked for a more perfect retreat. I recommend stopping at one of the larger towns on the way in to pick up groceries as there are no shops in the Slaughters. I stopped at Burford, which had a nice market. Also, the bedroom sleeps three with a large double and large single bed in the same room.

Vi hade en underbar vistelse här med hela familjen (3 par). Det var jättebra att det finns ett badrum för varje sovrum och vi passar alla bekvämt i köket för måltider. Vi lyckades till och med ha en måltid ute på lilla rundbordet i solskenet. Platsen är enastående, vi promenerade överallt vi behövde, särskilt på morgnar och kvällar när det inte fanns några turister runt. Det fanns gott om krukor och kokkärl för oss att laga mat med och ha ett stort kylskåp var till stor hjälp. Vi rekommenderar promenad till övre slakt längs den offentliga vandringsleden precis vid huset genom fälten. Tack för en bra vistelse!

We loved this cottage, because it is beautifully appointed and very comfortable. The location is in a small village, close to several larger towns and in the heart of the Cotswolds.

What a stunning property! We were 3 adults and one 3yr old, and we had so much space. The cottage is decorated beautifully, tastefully and with high quality brands. Either the host has some interior design background or they hired a designer. It feels like it was furnished for the hosts to live in originally, with all the amenities you could imagine plus extra. The kitchen is particularly well stocked with utensils, crockery, food mixer, toaster and more. The little courtyard outside is gorgeous, with its own little water feature. We had homemade afternoon tea here and it's a perfect little sun trap. There's a Tesco 10 mins away in Stow-on-the-wold which is really handy. Lower Slaughter is nothing short of picture perfect. It's incredible - like something from a movie. And the cottage's location is perfect, central enough to walk everywhere in the Slaughters and right beside a craft shop selling ice creams. The property is also really well located for driving to a lot of other really beautiful villages. We would DEFINITELY stay here again if we were to visit the area again. It's a winner!

Perfecto; esa es la única palabra que describe adecuadamente este lugar! En una calle tranquila, pero en el mismísimo centro de un bonito pueblo con restaurantes y bares justo en la puerta. amplio salón cómoda, quemador, TDT, conexión Wi-Fi conectarse. precioso comedor, cocina totalmente equipada. Dos grandes estrellas de cinco habitaciones dobles / dobles y una habitación doble pequeña (pero lo suficientemente grande para dos 'buenos amigos' o dos niños). Dos baños y un retrete abajo. Pero lo que hace que este lugar por encima del resto es el mobiliario de calidad, utensilios de cocina y ropa de cama, etc, la limpieza casi obsesiva, y el 100% de dedicación de los propietarios que dan tanta o tan poca interacción como desee. Hay un sinnúmero de pequeños extras (paquete de bienvenida, artículos de higiene, juegos, libros, DVDs); acaba de llegar a la ropa que necesita, ya que todo lo demás está allí. From the moment of arrival, we knew we had picked the perfect place to stay when met by Christina and Clive who had not only kindly waited on us to arrive after dark and help us with parking but had lit a fire and made the cottage warm and cozy for us. The cottage is even more lovely than the photos suggest and it is perfectly situated in the middle of the most gorgeous Cotwold village! Our hosts had thought of EVERYTHING……from kitchen sundries to fluffy hot water bottles…..oh and the beds are to die for!! Needless to say we all wanted to move in permanently and would absolutely love to return to the cottage for future visits…..praying there's availability once others have discovered the wonders of Bourton Croft Cottage! (p.s. Some of the best Chocolate croissants in the world to be found at the bakery fifty yards from the front door!)

The cottage was just amazing, we love everything about it. The pictures shown in the listing was absolutely accurate. The host, Christina was very helpful, she thought of every single details you can think of. Of course everyone has their own preference but for general amenities, it is all there. Location was absolutely perfect, no other place is as centralise as her cottage, very convenient to walk out and the entire Bourton on the water is right there. Very tranquil and beautiful cottage indeed. We had a lovely stay there and hope to return perhaps in the winter one year. Well done Christina.

This property was immaculate. It was highly upgraded and pride of ownership showed. It was very spacious and Christina was very accommodating. The location was perfect and Bourton-on-the-Water was our favorite town in the Cotswolds. We stayed in 3 different properties on our trip, also in London and Paris. This one was by far the best.

We (party of 7 adults and 1 child) stayed at Bourton Croft Cottage for 5 days over the New Year Dec 2014/Jan 2015, and had an amazing time. From the moment we arrived to the day we left, everything was perfect. The lovely beautifully presented cottage was over and above what could be expected. From the warm comfortable lounge, to the well appointed kitchen, comfortable bedding and lovely bathrooms, there was nothing more we could have asked for. Picture this: The day we arrived it was approx 0 degrees C., we were greeted by the log fire fire already set in a lovely warm lounge, and a Christmas Tree in the corner, in an immaculate clean and tidy cottage. Bourton Croft Cottage is in a perfect location, right in the middle of the stunning Bourton-on-the-water. Great restaurants, shops, museums and bars all within a very very short distance. It was the prefect holiday in a lovely lovely cottage. A great start to 2015. Thank you Christina and Clive for everything during our stay. Hope to stay again in the very near future. We rolled in to beautiful Bourton On The Water at 2pm on Thursday. Like clockwork Christina called to say our cottage was ready (two hours ahead of schedule). Immediately we were struck by Christina's exceptional taste and excitedly explored the property. It's chocolate box perfect to look at, tucked away, right in the centre of the village. Downstairs the large living room was more than adequate for the four of us (it sleeps 6 upstairs but you could make room for more downstairs). Both of the main bedrooms are massive and are each served by brilliant bathrooms with exceptionally good showers. The one bedroom bathroom also has a bath. The middle bedroom looked compact but we didn't have cause to use it. Back downstairs and the middle dining room is delightful. We didn't need to extend the table but would have done had there been more of us. The kitchen is a decent size with a toilet leading off. It very well equipped with all the comforts of home, as well as a range of coffee options and a dishwasher. The whole place was spotlessly clean and was just the country hideaway we wanted. We hired bikes from a shop in the village (£10 pp for three hours) and we rode up to The Slaughters. Much like Bourton it is out-of-this-world picturesque. The Slaughters pub and hotel is ideal for a drink and it looked like they had a better than average menu too. Heading back to Bourton, we ate twice at The Croft, which had a great steak sandwich and the best chips you'll ever have. We also dinner at The Rose Tree on Saturday night on Christina's recommendation and it didn't disappoint. A tiny word of warning that the wine seemed a little expensive. BUT the food was extremely good. All in all we had an amazing stay. The log fire kept us warm (along with the remote controlled central heating) and it was well stocked with plenty of good quality dried wood. If what you're looking for is a magical Cotswold experience, you'd have to go a long way to beat this. We loved it. Thank you for being such a great host Christina.

Passamos três noites no camarote do capitão e nós apreciamos completamente. A casa está muito bem apresentado e impecavelmente limpos. Nós hospedado em dezembro e Peter tinha ido para o trabalho extra de decorar a casa para o Natal. A casa é muito bonito, com características rústicas que transportá-lo para um momento mais tranquilo. Ao mesmo tempo, tem uma cozinha impecável, moderno e casa de banho. A localização também é muito especial, estar dentro de um tiro de pedra do coração do muito bonito Bourton-on-the-Water, ainda afastado da estrada em um local tranquilo e isolado. Obrigado Peter!

Our stay was absolutely fantastic. It is a cosy little cottage with a good kitchen and bathroom (we cooked breakfast and dinner every night). Only problem we had was absolutely no cleaning products (dishwasher tablets, fairy liquid and anti bac spray) so we had to go and purchase these. But other than that, great stay!

What a lovely little cottage full of character and very well equipped. The town is just a short amble down the road and the road itself is a dead end, so no through traffic which made it feel quiet and safe for the dogs. Most of the the pubs are very doggy friendly and the local people very pleasant. A few businesses where closed for refurbishment during January but this didn't bother us. All in all a very nice few days away it ticked all the boxes for us.
