As a women's & diversity ally I conduct the first Mexico City walking experience devoted entirely to sharing women’s history & influence at their homes, workspaces & monuments.
The tour, starting next to Frida Kahlo’s former school, takes you through the Historic Center, a World Heritage site, passing or visiting magnificent landmarks including beautiful former Catholic schools & convents, Plaza de Santo Domingo, the Palace of the Spanish Inquisition, the Old Medicine School, El Camino Real, working Federal Offices, the Old Central Customs House and the Museum of Women.
We will unravel incredible stories at every turn, such as our Catholic Patroness Guadalupe & our founding mothers: Leona, Josefa & La Güera, plus world celebrities like Sor Juana Inés & Frida Kahlo, in multiple landmark buildings, museums, monuments.
From ancient times to date, we will recall women who had a defining role in history, politics, arts, literature, education, religion, sports & science like Matilde Montoya, Mexico's first female physician.
Learn about Mexico's greatest women whilst meandering through the streets in which they lived, finishing at one of the few Museum of Women in the world, displaying history from a gender perspective.
