The nearest and newest brewery to my home here in THE beer city that is Grand Rapids. You could honestly walk here, it's only a mile away.
I've not visited, yet, but I hear the food is south american / Caribbean, and the beers are supposed to be great as well!

This is a great little bar / restaurant. They have a TON of michigan beer on tap, and spectacular food to boot.
It doesn't hurt that it's about a mile away from the house either. Walkable!
