The food is outstanding. My favorite is the Spicy Shrimp Fennel Arugula and Orange Salad. My daughter claims they have the best pasta and Caesar salad around. She should know since that's all she orders anywhere she goes. Really good desserts (try the chocolate "cake").

New coffee shop that is just plain cool. Multiple levels of seating for hanging out. Follow them on Facebook as they do events from time to time. Coloring night and retro movies are two recent events. One of the few coffee shops to open at 6 am.

Brewery & food in NoDa! I go for the brunch. My favorite item is what I call the drunken pineapple. Slice a pineapple in half lengthwise, soak it in rum for 24 hours, cut each half into smaller pieces (still in the shell), soak in rum for another 24 hours, grill for good smoky char. Serve with mascarpone and watch the people devour it!

Slice a pineapple in half lengthwise, soak it in rum for 24 hours, cut each half into smaller pieces (still in the shell), soak in rum for another 24 hours, grill for good smoky char. Serve with mascarpone and watch the people devour it!
Entertainment & Activities
What can I say? It's the White Water Center! Best cheap entertainment in Charlotte if you like people watching. I go for ziplines, trail runs, hanging out with friends, people watching and watching rafters fall out of the raft. Always a joy to see. Usually a lot of people cheering on the rafters.
If you want adventure, buy a pass and try the ziplines, rafting, SUP, kayaking and so on. My absolute favorite place.

I go for ziplines, trail runs, hanging out with friends, people watching and watching rafters fall out of the raft. Always a joy to see. Usually a lot of people cheering on the rafters.
