Volcan San Pedro
Don't leave Lake Atitlán without hiking to the tip of the Mayan Face. The excursion costs a little over 100 quetzales; you'll be taken by bus to Santa Clara, from where you walk for an hour to the summit. There, you'll witness the sunrise over the lake, and if the day is clear, you'll also see a good part of the volcano range and even the smoke from the Fuego volcano. It's an unforgettable natural spectacle. However, you do need to set out in the early morning. / No te vayas del lago de Atitlán sin subir a la punta de la nariz del Rostro Maya. La excursión cuesta algo más de 100 quetzales, te suben en bus hasta Santa Clara y desde allí caminas una hora hasta la cima, donde verás salir el sol sobre el lago y, si el día está claro, verás también buena parte de la cordillera de volcanes e incluso la fumarola del volcán de Fuego. Es un espectáculo natural inolvidable. Eso sí, hay que salir de madrugada.
