The PA Fish and Boat Commission owns and maintains a boat access area at Mangan Cove, which is located off of State Route 590 (within ½ mile of the intersection with Route 6). Boaters can launch their watercraft from this access area for free.

A walk along the towpath reveals many local tree varieties (some rare!), beautiful scenic views and many species of wildlife living along the Lackawaxen River. The park is open dawn to dusk.
