The trail up Mt Lady McDonald starts on the edge of the Benchlands next to the creek that carries the winter melt water down to the Bow River. It starts out as a gentle up and down hike that steadily increases in gradient and difficulty and ends in a relatively steep rock scramble at the top. From there there are spectacular views up and down the Bow Valley
