A great place for a pit spot when your out on the Arm. Outside eating as it should be quick service and friendly staff. With the shared seating you can enjoy a catch up with family and friends. The only down side is they often run out of items on the menu.

Fantastic memorial within walking distance. Great location looking out over the English channel. my kids love the walk up to the site and the walk back. A nice walk out with brilliant views and lots of history.

Great half day out. The Western Heights are a must for history buffs. Set overlooking the straights of Dover and the town. It's not open to the public every day. The grounds are open during daylight hours and the preservation society run open days and events. A must to do with the Grand Shaft.

This is a must for history and engineering buffs. The Grand Shaft is part of the Western Heights complex. The Grand Shaft is open most weekend over the summer but its run by volunteers and so can be closed. Great as part of a day out to the Western Heights.

Samphire Hoe is where the spoil from the channel tunnel was put. The country park is small but has some good walks. Very exposed on windy day. There is a small coffee shop with limited drinks and snacks. The site does run wildlife walks and sessions for children.
