Built in 1963 and trucked up from Long Island sometimes in the 80's this faithfully restored mid-century dining mecca was reborn in 2012. In a hurry? They have a 1963 Airstream food truck out in "The Lot" Great ambience but can get pretty crowded.

Amazing coffee & fresh baked-on-premise pastries make this worth the drive! Nice place to stop on the way to Woodstock. Understated, dark yet lively and thoughtfully curated with a genuine mountain aesthetic, this place is the winner. Staff super friendly.

Where do the locals eat? Here. Cheap and cheerful. OK, dive-y even. Don't expect anything award winning recipes but if you want to recover from a high peak climb with a massive black bean burrito and some icy IPAs on draft this is the place to come! Good place to sit and watch "the game" any time of year.

Stop in for some locally-brewed IPAs and hipster-ish garden-dining.

The highest and among the more challenging peaks in the Catskills. Great views from the summit's fire tower. Weather shifts quickly in the mountains so be sure to bring plenty of drinking water, waterproof gear, layers to pack and maybe a dry shirt to change into at the summit. You will be sweating! Also, the trail gets fairly steep at the summit. Recommended for hikers with some experience.
