This is a great all outdoor beer garden over on 8th St. in the Barracks Row neighborhood of DC. I recommend the pretzel if you go!

Navy Yard is located right on the Anacostia river. It has a nice boardwalk along the water along with many great bars and restaurants. From my house it is about a 25min walk, or rent a bike from Capital Bike share and be there is 12 min. Even easier is to take the Metro it is one stop away. There are also several bus routes from the end of my street to this neighborhood.
