Third-wave coffee is difficult to find here but Range Finder has great coffee. It's a must-stop on the way back from sightseeing at the gorge, hiking, or just strolling around Fayetteville.

It's not the best skiing but it's only 25 minutes away and for that reason, I recommend it. Trails are great for beginners and the view from the top of the mountain is stunning.

You can't visit WV without stopping at The Greenbrier. Grab a cocktail in the lobby bar and wander around admiring Dorothy Draper's iconic design.
