A gentle walk in the gardens allows you to see the upper section of the ruins of 13th Century Ellon Castle. Continue up the steps through the trees and enjoy the tranquility of the woods.
Enter through the gates at the South West end of the walled gardens, off Schoolhill Road. Parking is available in the upper car park. Refreshments are available every other Saturday.

Parking can be limited, accessed from the car park below Newburgh Golf Club. Several nice eateries locally. Lovely walks on the sand dunes, be careful with dogs - should be on a lead to avoid seal injury.
