Trendy neighborhood with access to Lake Michigan and some of the best restaurants in Milwaukee.
**Go vintage shopping and grab a bite to eat on Kinnickinnic Avenue between S 1st Street and Logan. Come back at night for the bars and late night brats and bourbon at Vanguard. Then finish up with a decadent slice of pie from Honeypie.
**Check out Tuesday evening concerts and the daily beer garden in Humboldt Park during summer.
**Walk, run, or ride along the Oak Leaf Trail with beach access and views of downtown and the lake. There’s a beer garden right on the lake with a full food menu, too.
**Hit up the Saturday Farmer’s Market at South Shore Park. If you want croissants from Rocket Baby Bakery, be sure to go before 8:30 am. You can find Door County cherries sold here, inexpensive flowers, and fantastic tamales and salsa. Live music starts around 10 am.
The Green line bus and the 51 bus serve this neighborhood and go right by our apartment.
