The Great Park is beautiful year round and, as well as walks, has many eating places.
I have spent so many happy hours over the years wandering around Painshill Park. One year, all my children had their birthday parties there including treasure hunts around the spectacular landscape. Created in the 18th century by Charles Hamilton as a living painting, Painshill invites you to walk around a work of art and discover dramatic follies, calming waters and stunning views.
Painshill is regarded as one of the foremost and finest examples of the English Landscape Movement.
I highly recommend it at any time of year.

Situated alongside the river in Henley on Thames, the museum is a celebration of the river. We loved it when my children were younger, especially for their Wind in the Willows exhibition, but they also have a lively programme of exhibitions in conjunction with the well-known London museums.
