You can't come to Cape Town and not go up Table Mountain - amazing views from the top. Plenty of walks up there as well as a restaurant. If you are feeling strong, continue 400 metres down the road and you will find the start of the pathway where you can walk up. There are great city views looking over the city all along this road

This is the beach where the cool people hang out - it is actually 4 beaches in one. It tends to be much more wind free than the other beaches. Get there in the morning and it is often beautifully empty.

The sea this side of the peninsular is much warmer than the other side. Muizenberg has shallow waters with good, consistent waves, making it the perfect place to hire a surf board and wetsuits and learn to surf. Surf stores and schools are along the beach.

Sea Point promenade is a very popular place to stroll along in the mornings and evenings. You can hire a bike for an hour or 2 at the swimming pool if walking is not your thing. Plenty of things for the kids to do. Many restaurants along the way. My favourite for sundowners is the Winchester Mansions.

If you have a car it is worth doing this drive along the cliff side road at Chapmans Peak. Some spectacular views over Hout Bay. You may be lucky to see Whales during the season.

A working fishing harbour. Beautiful views. The local fishermen put fish scraps in their mouths and the wild cape fur seals leap from the water and grab the fish. Take a boat ride to view Seal Island

My favourite cinema - very old school, shows mainly art movies. Grab your favourite drink at the bar and take it in with you to the movie. Very classy and attracts the film buffs.
