Take out ONLY Do NOT bother to try and order online. He does not keep up with it. Pete was classically trained at the Le Cordon Bleu in Paris. He makes AMAZING pies, galettes-all kinds of goodies. He bakes what he feels but also has cheeses, olives, humus, sandwiches…all kinds of stuff! It is SO GOOD that folks just queue up and buy what he has that day. You will NOT be disappointed! Take your goodies to Schoodic Point!! (The 5 & 10 in Winter Harbor is FUN shopping too!)

Winter Harbor Ferry and Acadia Island Explorer

AVOID (if you can) driving to Bar Harbor and Acadia NP South. Take the Ferry from Winter Harbor and then the free bus line. You get a beautiful view of the coast from the water and a bit of a history lesson. They circle Ironbound Island during the round trip. It puts you in the heart of Bar Harbor without having to sit in one lane multiple-hour traffic or worry about parking (nightmare!). I took the ferry and then the free bus to Echo Beach to hike the Cliff Trials and it was a great day! We headed back to Bar Harbor after the hike and did some shopping and ice cream!
