Don't forget to visit Mr. Jack Daniel's grave. Take your picture with him on a bench on the square. Sit in the Big Blue Chair on the Square and share it on the Chamber of Commerce.

This park is so peaceful and serene. I love to sit beside the waterfall on a big rock and enjoy my picnic lunch while listening to the sounds. There are some hiking trails. One of them is very enchanting. The history of this park is simply amazing. One can almost feel the history here. Be sure to watch the movie and go through the park office. There is a camp ground and playground too.

One of them is very enchanting. The history of this park is simply amazing. One can almost feel the history here. Be sure to watch the movie and go through the park office. Get your info and maps at the South Cumberland State Park office.
Burgess Falls is the most beautiful waterfall in Tennessee. I would see it is you have a half a day to spend enjoying nature. Burgess Falls is about an hour and half drive from Chanticleer but if you are going north toward I 40 as you leave, it is a must. You can choose the charming, enchanted trail down by the falls or on a gravel road away from the falls. Either way will get you to the big falls but oh the trail by the falls is indescribable.

Burgess Falls is about an hour and half drive from Chanticleer but if you are going north toward I 40 as you leave, it is a must. You can choose the charming, enchanted trail down by the falls or on a gravel road away from the falls. Either way will get you to the big falls but oh the trail by the falls is indescribable.
