The Brisbane Powerhouse is an old power station that now hosts live music, comedy shows and farmers market.
First established in 1825, the City Botanic Gardens are a lovely spot next to the centre of Brisbane. Old Government House gives a great glimpse into Brisbane's colonial past, and there are several lovely paths through the rainforest and along the river's edge. There are free guided walks available from Monday to Saturdays from approximately 11.00 a.m. to 1.00 p.m. (excluding public holidays), from the rotunda near the Alice St entry.
