While Manchester's bohemian quarter is fast being discovered by the hordes, there are still plenty of cool, independent bars which haven't yet been tinged by the dreaded 'mainstream'. The main concentration of bars in the N4 are focused around the High Street/Thomas Street crossroads, but wander over to Tib Street and Oldham Street where you'll be rewarded with some great bars and clubs and a slightly more laid back vibe. Our favourites include The Mint Lounge, Cane & Grain, Kosmonaut, Soup Kitchen and Hula.

A street that creates a chain of restaurants, bars and hidden nightclubs. This is where the city centre starts if you're walking from our flat to town. Only 15min walk, which is perfect if you fancy a quick bite to eat or go out for a quick drink.

A hidden gem!! A pub looking out on the river! Less than a 5 minute walk. Perfect to grab a pint and some food on the hot days as you can sit outside and admire the river.
