Food Scene

This is one of my favorite places in Chicago! Looking over the cobblestone courtyard in Lincoln Square, Cafe Selmarie has delicious pastries, coffee, and a full lunch/dinner menu.

Demera is delicious! Whether or not you're familiar with Ethiopian food, this place is friendly and accessible. There's something for everyone. It's spicy & exciting and there are amazing veg options.

Magnolia Cafe is a little pricey but the food is somehow creative & simple at the same time, and it's comfortable and luxurious. It's small, so it's a great place for an early dinner before the rush.

This Starbucks is a life saver and is literally a minute walk from the apartment. All of the people are ridiculously nice, and you'll feel at home right away! Also a great place to work or study.

Arts & Culture

The Davis Theatre is kind of old and rickety and that's exactly why I love it. It's super affordable and charming and it really feels like a local theatre.
